Luca's music is visceral with a life beyond itself, cinematic yet personal. With his innovative approach to how far a traditional instrument can take you, he makes intensely real music, pain-stakingly crafted to move you to another place: an antidote to the noise of modern life and a rare chance for reflection.

A full-length album from Luca D'Alberto is due in 2017 on 7K! Titled 'Endless,' the album was played entirely by D’Alberto and engineered by Martyn Heyne with additional production by Henrik Schwarz, shaking his classical training into new forms. 

To celebrate the beginnings of the new 7K! brand, 7K! has teamed up with Berlin radio station Flux FM who will be launching the new radio channel Neo FM on January 27th. Luca D'Alberto will play his first live show, complete with 4 piece ensemble, live at the event, which will be streamed worldwide from Silent Green in Berlin. Luca D'Alberto's debut album Endless, produced by Martyn Heyne and Henrik Schwarz, is due for release on 7K! in 2017.

The Well-Tempered Clavier (German: Das Wohltemperierte Klavier), BWV 846–893, is a collection of solo keyboard music composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. He first gave the title to a book of preludes and fugues in all 24 major and minor keys, dated 1722, composed "for the profit and use of musical youth desirous of learning, and especially for the pastime of those already skilled in this study." Bach later compiled a second book of the same kind, dated 1742, but titled it only "Twenty-four Preludes and Fugues." The two works are now usually considered to make up a single work, The Well-Tempered Clavier, and are referred to respectively as Books I and II. The Well-Tempered Clavier is generally regarded as one of the most influential works in the history of Western classical music.

Our Season Six Conductorless Valentine Concert was full of surprises! Featuring Haydn's Symphony No. 94, "Surprise", Dvořák's Serenade for Winds, and Janáček's Idyll for Strings, the concert was performed at The Church of St. John the Divine, Houston, TX, Feb 12, 2011.

Scarlatti

Oboist, early music specialist, and musicologist Billy Traylor holds diplomas in oboe and bassoon performance from the University of New Orleans (BA 2001) and Northwestern State University of Louisiana (MM 2004). He was a doctoral student in early music at Indiana University in Bloomington, where he studied historical oboes with the late Washington McClain, and historical keyboards with Elisabeth Wright.

He is the Artistic Director of the Austin Baroque Orchestra and Chorus, a period-instrument ensemble he founded in 2011, and in which he plays oboe, recorder, and keyboard continuo when not conducting. He also performs regularly with La Follia Austin Baroque, the St. Cecilia Baroque Festival Orchestra, Texas Early Music Project, Orchestra of New Spain, American Baroque Opera Company, Dallas Bach Society, and other period- and modern-instrument ensembles in Texas and elsewhere.

As a musicologist, he is primarily interested in colonial music and culture, specifically that of 17th- and 18th-century Latin America and 18th-century New France.  He has also researched and written on the history and development of the oboe, music at the courts of Louis XIV and Frederick the Great, the music and lives of Louis Moreau Gottschalk and Antoine Reicha, and the traditional music of Greece and the Aegean.  As an editor, he regularly produces performing editions of long-forgotten sacred works from Latin American cathedral and mission archives, and has also worked extensively upon the Manuscrit des Ursulines, the only extant music manuscript from colonial New Orleans.
