so, this is my essential mix. i want to say a few things about it!

before writing "worlds", i'd been feeling kinda pessimistic about the future of electronic music. so once i was done writing "worlds" over the course of 2~ish years, i just felt the need to find new stuff that i loved. i did a ton of soundcloud digging, basically, and most of the music in this mix was music i found that way. that's not to say that there aren't classics or songs i've known for a while here, but it's mostly new music.

then BBC radio 1 asked me to do an essential mix, and it seemed like the perfect way to showcase new stuff i was into.

i also feel like it's important to point out that this mix isn't what the worlds tour is going to sound like, really - that tour is going to be only my own music. all originals. (also it's going to be a blast and a visual journey and other stuff i can't talk about yet ehehe).

Artist Info:
SOEL aka Soel Sadiki, was born in the gray and bustle Milan. Arab origins; his passion, probably hereditary, born from an early age thanks to his father, who collected vinyl records by artists including important figures stood out like Ry Cooder, Robert Johnson and Jacques Brel. 

SOEL began to produce his own sounds during adolescence, using music samples representing his originality and changing from house and dark disco year 80/90, to minimal to techno. 

His music has immediately been supported and played by some of the most popular techno artists in the world, like Carl Cox, Marco Carola, Tale Of Us, Dubfire,  Luciano, Mind Against, Oliver Huntemann, Karotte, Paco Osuna, Mark Knight, Alexi Delano, Joseph Capriati, Marco Bailey, Kaiserdisco, Pig&Dan, Stephan Bodzin, Martin Eyerer, Sian, Wehbba, Alan fitzpatrick Ambivalent, Carlo Lio, Sonja Moonear, and many many more.

 In the course of his experience,has refined the technique also strengthening his musical culture, His DJ sets are in fact a journey that includes a mix of techno and minimal sounds blended with dark vocals.

 Currently SOEL continues his trip to the musical reality, with enthusiasm and rigor, giving his music around Europe, and north America where he performs in this last year, in Miami during WMC and New York in important clubs like Verboten  - Paper Box - UP&Down and some illegal afterparties in Brooklyn.

The third Realm Of Consciousness compilation on Tale Of Us’ Afterlife Recordings is the label’s most complete statement so far.

The four-vinyl opus opens with Tale Of Us’ now anthemic ‘Nova’, a high-impact and well-loved staple of their sets this year. Agents Of Time continue with the percussive rattle of ‘Paradigm’, before the first released collaboration between luminaries Recondite and Henrik Schwarz shines with understated melody.

Amongst Mind Against’s eerie masterpiece ‘Portal’ and impressive first appearances on Afterlife from Scuba (as SCB) and Steve Rachmad (as Sterac) are ethereal contributions from Fideles, Ovend and Øostil. UK techno veteran Edit Select channels the darker, hypnotic spirit of Afterlife with ‘Phase In’, setting up the sprawling, 14-minute epic from Luigi Tozzi and Antonio Ruscito.

To begin the compilation’s fourth disc, Konstantin Sibold & Kosme’s ‘Cyclone’ lifts the tone, leading into a more introspective sound from Hunter/Game on ‘Changing Weather’. Upcoming German talent Kevin De Vries follows with his infectious cut ‘Mágoa’ and Tone Depth ends the odyssey in mesmerising style with ‘Ibn Sina’.

The full spectrum of Tale Of Us’ Afterlife label is on display here, as they continue to push the envelope with a high-quality and diverse selection of artists.

Born in 1996 in a small city in the centre of Italy, Alberth started collecting vinyls and performing gigs in private parties and local discos at the age of 14. At the same time he began to produce electronic music. After graduating from high school, he moved to Milan to attend a highly formative school, which allowed him to enter the world of electronic music. 

His music style is exclusive and ranges from deep to psychedelic in 2017 Alberth released tracks and podcasts for several important labels such as Steyoyoke, Be Free Recordings, Infinite Depth, Us & Them Records, and many others.

He has collaborated with the likes of Soul Button and Lunar Plane and his last EP “Solstice & Equinox” reached the 43rd position of the Beatport global chart, genre melodic house & techno.
