Puppy Love

It has sad tones at the beginning and end but some happier bits in the middle, as I imagined Vincent sitting outside in the sun with his paints and easel.
This piece meanders a fair bit, taking new turns before developing each new thought, perhaps like a bipolar state of mind in the artist, but if you listen carefully there's a theme that repeats throughout the work. In Van Gogh-coda, the sequel to this piece, the score is well structured and "makes sense", perhaps reflecting Vincent's state of mind when he is well.
