Malaga's house music commander Novodisc Sanchez returns to Clarisse, the master of making dancefloors pay attention to his demands of 'Check It Out' (Clarisse 57) and 'Feel It' (Clarisse 70), and with high profile influencers such as Loco Dice, Erick Morillo, the Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones and Steve Lawler firmly in the pro-Novodisc camp. 'Everybody' is invited to Novodisc's application of bassline pressure, extended with two remixes from Thomas Dinx and Daoud, Deiver guaranteeing no-one gets left out.

On Novodisc's checklist: hear the drummer get wicked, hit the hip bone with a bullseye of percussion, and throw down bass that's tough but funky, chunky but easy to move to. 'Everybody' leaves vocal convulsions caught in a B-Boy spasm in its wake, cutting through mechanised crossfire, and a long run into the drop takes the form of an air-raid warning telling everyone not to be alarmed and carry on losing it as usual.

Remix #1 from Spanish compatriot Thomas Dinx moves in similar circles, but a meaner bass ups the stakes and turns those circles into shark-infested waters, that low end creating a bruising dancefloor tug of war, overseen by the vocals travelling between Ibiza and Planet Rock. Remix #2 courtesy of the Daoud, Deiver combo delivers the bassline so it dips down into a delicious loop of funk, smoothly topping up sweat levels with chest puffed out. Another subtle shifting of perspective this time puts work into the seatbelt-snapping breakdown, harnessing the commotion in a trance-like strobe to be seen and heard for miles around.

A day in the life of Spanish geezers, Cele and Jaime Soeiro are guaranteed to score at least an eight or a nine with two tracks of sample-happy bump and banter. Cele has racked up remix credits and a status as one to keep an eye on since being put on by Stefano Noferini in 2014, with Hot Since 82, Richie Hawtin, Umek and Wally Lopez all celebrating the Basque Country native. Cele has also appeared on Techaway, the label of Jaime Soeiro regularly found in the Beatport top 50. Valencia's Soeiro is posting similar movements from strength to strength, sending pumping postcards from across Europe and putting his firepower in the proximity of Maya Jane Coles, Joris Voorn and Adam Beyer.

'Real Funky' bounces from pirate radio rooftops directly in the glare of the sun, from the jumpy bassline shuffle featuring tongue in cheek couplets (including sound advice for screen fiends) from one of the UK's most inimitable urban poets, to a grand introduction across the airwaves helped along by shiny disco guitars and a supersonic breakdown. Well capable of making you touch your toes and touch the ceiling, it's funky and grin-inducing in equal measure.

'The Space' is where it's at for Cele and Soeiro to churn through and get funkily knotty and knottily funky with their bass-stepping beats - in fact there's no space at all within the tightly packed dancefloor welcoming you to a jungle of clubbers soon to be wearing one another's bruises. With little more standing in its way, other than a gruff mecha-tour guide giving status updates and a power-up of a build, this is the perfect example of a toe-tapping groove that turns into a sharp-toothed bodycheck.
