The Venezuelan DJ and producer Victor Porfidio brings another single to his profile. After the success of “Paradise”, and working on two collabs, “Freedom” with his countryman Losh, and “Home” with the mexican star Lemarroy, he releases his new track “Don’t Give It Up” 

Born in Caracas, the renowned Venezuelan DJ and producer Victor Porfidio quickly established himself as one of the few young talents in the South American market with international appeal. 

His debut as a DJ was early, at age 14, playing at parties and at age 16 he was already on the club circuit of Venezuela, quickly becoming a national sensation, playing for thousands of people regularly. He has already shared the stage with big names of electronic music such as David Guetta, Steve Angello, Axwell /\ Ingresso, Afrojack, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and on his spring tour in Cancun, March 2017, with DJ Snake, Laidback Luke, 3LAU and Danny Avila. 

“Don’t Give It Up” brings a summer vibe. The production for the track shows Porfidio’s abilities and experience, despite his young age: This track is definitely a dance floor banger and will please many people around the globe. Energetic and fun, it will make you dance. 

“The summer season in Ibiza inspired me to make this track. It has a Flamenco guitar going into the breakdown, and the first drop comes with great energetic drums. The second drop is a mixture of the guitar with a latin flavor” - Victor Porfidio.

The first time I heard the original track was when I was driving in my car out in nature. The smooth and sexy voice and soothing energy of the track made me play the track louder and louder. Then I had the feeling of: I would love to make a remix of this track so I contacted mister Ganga himself who was very excited about my idea. Last week I was in India for a couple of days and got fully inspired after that. So firstly I created a new podcast and secondly I worked on some new originals, remixes and edits. So yeah, it was a very inspiring trip. I met so many interesting, kind, open hearted and passionate people and that is such a privilege to then play music for them and also build a connection before and after that. A lucky guy I am, I realise that over and over again. At the same time I am on my path of creating and playing music to bring lightness to the world. There is much light and much dark sides on this planet but it is all about perspective. The half empty or half full glass. I try to live it with half of a full glass. Please let me know what you think of this podcast? What is your favourite track and I know I have said it before but #38 will be a Club Mix. Lovers of Music! Here we go again, this time with a 2,5 hour live set I played at AfrikaBurn earlier this month. Being at AfrikaBurn is always such a highlight of the year for me. Being there with people I love and then playing for a crowd who really likes what I am doing! (Lucky me ;-)) This year I played for the Leopard Mafia on Wednesday and on Thursday for the Space Cowboys. The week before I played at another sold out Suikerbossie in Cape Town (thanks to Caroline/Karen to make that happen again). So I already had a nice warm-up for the South African crowd. I never have expectations before I play somewhere because I always want to go all-in with a blank mind. And so I did on this trip as well. But knowing what the crowd and atmosphere was the years before I always feel very excited to bring some nice pieces of music with me. Please listen yourself what happened during this sunset set. After ‘Follow The Sun’ we went into nighttime mode and although the temperature dropped my heart was heated by the love and happy faces I saw in front of me. Hasta La Vista and till next time!
