Tremulant wandering throughout deep space. Scans pulse beating lush sounds from local pulsar. Mega waves of radio interference. Scanning. Something making some serious groove here. We have detected... PLANEMO! Every episode we hop aboard our spaceship and search the galaxy to discover fresh and exciting sounds for the people of earth...

... aboard The Good Ship Tremulant. We are in sub deep space, matter density about 1,000 atoms per square meter. The ships sonic sensors picking up the background sounds from interstellar space, a slightly lower energy from not enough atoms to vibrate. Yet, the audio sense is intense, resonates with the soul. We pass nearby a pulsar, the remnants of a supernova, neutron and x radiation are the first signs that our aural senses will detect the sounds from another world, the energy building. But alas, we escape the gravitation pull of the pulsar, and are jettisoned into truly deep space, matter density of a single atom per square meter, the cosmic audio background resonating with the heartbeat, we are at peace, the music in the fabric of our souls ...

We had a proper shindig at @FutureFactory a few weeks back with our friends Distrikt and @pinkmammoth, and our @discow stage artists THREW DOWN! Huge props to @reza @latenightshri @gabrhome and Borak for such a fun eclectic assortment of tunes that kept the people grooving with ice cream in hand and smiles on faces 🪩🕺

I've found it really difficult to find the time to go digging for music this year. To be honest, I actually found it really hard to connect to music earlier in the year. I didn't have the interest or excitement for it.

I was watching a friend's documentary recently. Watching their creative vision come to life really inspired me to get back on it again. It also inspired the concept of this mix. Cheers legends.

Continuing to learn the craft and let's be clear I post these so I can listen to the while I work.  Most of the songs are in the UKG family which I love this genre because it has drum and bass (liquid)vibes and tends to have great old house and R&B samples. This is definitely on the mellow end of UKG and I lean towards seeking out songs that have have a house vibe and  other samples/edits of my youth.

Sheltering in Place - part 1

Ok this one has old and new sounds and a dash-o-edits: breaks + prog house + techno. 

It was around 1995 and I was at a Funky Techno Tribe party and one of the dj's played a remix of Sweet Dreams and this giant room erupted into elation. It was one the most epic moments of the now 3 decades of parties I've attended. The edit I found on this set is not the same but it makes me think about that moment, that party, and one of my dearest friends I met at that party.  The last song is also a classic likely with a deeper meaning if you grew up in northern CA where Dubtribe used to often play at small dive bars in the 90's. Some songs are timeless and for me Mother Earth is one of those songs.

Beeps and Boops

I am tinkering with my husand's CDJ's, rotary mixer and turntables. He's the DJ (data.source) in the house and a budding producer too. I used to DJ records in the 90's and decided to start playing music I like to record sets I can listen to while working. 
My first love is atmospheric (liquid) drum and bass but I love tunes in many genres. All the reposts are of friends or strangers that inspire me.
