Re:Circulation is a new mix series which will feature older tunes that either never made it onto a Body&Soul mix, or classics that did but I want to revisit and revive them by mixing them with different tracks, and also there will be a few new tunes (mostly when none of the tunes in my library will fit!). Circulation was the first Body&Soul mix, so the title seemed fitting lol. I have a good bit of tunes that just didn't fit in (it's the land of misfit tunes!) and kind of got left on the backburner, but they're great tunes, so they aren't "rejects". FYI! This time around I also included some older tunes that were recently re-released on a comp (tunes I missed originally). Enjoy the mix. Re:Circulation Vol 8 (Liquid Drum & Bass Studio Mix)

"Established in 2011 Kompas Audio was started by my good friend Krystian aka Dj Lunatic and is all about showcasing some of the best underground drum & bass, visually as well as audibly via live stream sessions. 

This project was truly born out of our passion for Drum & Bass, Jungle, Vinyl and Live gigs - essentially all of what electronic music culture is about. 

So when our paths crossed we soon realised that we shared the same passion for music and art so he welcomed me aboard to the Kompass team.

Its was a great pleasure to roll out a set for Mixblog, Anthony asked me to dig deep so I trawled through my collection and put together some of my favourite deep, soulful & atmospheric tunes from over the years, some of the gems I don’t always get the chance to play.

Haven’t been making these as often as I used to, as an almost complete death of DJ booking demand has been discouraging (hey I still wanna DJ!), and I literally haven’t touched the decks for around a year (aside from sampling).
So, time to warm up – and this is a good way to contribute to my beloved culture anyways.
As always, I don’t plan these much, and I certainly don’t practice for mixtapes – it’s a spontaneous one-time performance like real DJ set, and that’s it! 
Autumn’s here, which means this music works better than ever, and I sure as heck I’m fond of these types of vibes.
I did f**k up a bit but that’s what you get when you don’t (have a need to…) practice for a yera. But I guess it was an ok effort, considering. Afer recording this one, I actually felt I’d be warmed up for a better/tighter performance, but naaah, can’t do it twice.

There’s supposed to be two vinyl EPs full of this type vibes from myself still in 2019.
