After phenomenal debut LP 'Indirect Image' on Danza Nativa just a few weeks ago, a French prodigy Olorun is back with another great release, “WHS02” EP, this time on Aachen-based imprint Whispering Signals. The release features three originals accompanied by a hypnotic remix of Aroüagues by label boss Daniel[i], our premiere for today.

Daniel[i]'s Amalgam of Aroüagues is a slow spellbinding trip that creates a mysterious atmosphere. Its distant chants, tribal percussions, and cosmic synths generate a feeling of discovering an extraterrestrial tribe in the middle of a rain forest having their ritual and communicating with their temple somewhere in distant outer space. Daniel[i]'s Amalgam is an ideal track for warm-up sets in dark basements ahead of long techno marathons.

“WHS02” EP is set for release on April 1st via Whispering Signals.

In the galaxy's far reaches, there is a desolate planet. Mesza, with its jagged mountains and barren landscapes, is home to a garden with one very significant flower.

The locals believe that the flower has the power to collect chaos in the universe and keep things in balance. No one knows who built it initially and how. It was a source of great mystery and awe.

One day, the local tribe was eager to study the machine. They set up camp in the garden and began their research. For weeks, they observed, took notes, and wondered at the device.

What is chaos? How does it collect it? And why is there still so much chaos in the galaxy? They couldn't answer the mystery of these questions. There were all sorts of debris flying around the flower and every time they tried to get closer they couldn't reach it. The machine was protected by an impenetrable force field.

With no solution but to leave, they failed in their mission to finally uncover the secrets of the Chaos Collector. The only thing they were sure of is that if something happens to it, things would get much worse. So they vowed to protect it at all costs.

I have come up with an idea for creating a project, which was initially a series of events with electronic music, dedicated to all people having hearing problems or any other difficulties. Strange as it may sound, the party was to be a starting point for the mutual and social integration and also a break of interpersonal barriers.

Not everyone is aware of how this idea has developed, so let me explain to you that I was born with a significant hearing loss and I am used to wearing a deaf aids, which allows me to hear only a fragment of what you are telling each other behind my back ;-) . But to be serious, when I’ve started playing (as a @phil-jensky) during parties, it was almost 13 years ago, I never wanted to be perceived as a person with hearing difficulties. I wanted to be treated the same as everyone else. For a very long time, even my friends were unaware of my dysfunction and using my deaf aids (I did not use it during parties, even while playing). But, over time, I noticed that I had gained a greater distance towards this situation, changing my weakness into my strength.

You’ve probably noticed that I’m interested in downtempo music, where I try to sneak some oriental sounds for quite some time. It was apparent to me that all these finer points have something in common, that’s why, about 6 months ago, I’ve decided to create a completely new project, dedicated mainly to the current, where most of the music sets will be maintained in 90-120 BPM. The main idea of this project is a musical trip through the world of sounds - unusual and uncommon ones. I was waiting for the right moment to come.

Deaf Can Dance - is from now on, the name for my new project/alias, which will make its official debut during the Revive Festival 2018 where there will be a special downtempo/oriental stage.

I created nearly three hours journey between various sounds from over the world. Different voices, languages and musical instruments in this mix have one thing in common: love to music. If You want to explore something unknown, so this mix can be beginning of our common road in a music world.

PS. The name of the new project is also a tribute to Dead Can Dance.

Right in time for Luises third Birthday, Munichs incarnation of volt and watt, namely Guenther Lause, comes along with a very special present. The Wakema EP is a three-track-voyage from the outer spaces of universe back to the very inner circuits of conscience. Starting with Ruka (A), an antsy techno piece, Guenther seduces to enter his spaceship. Soon after, hiding between space and time, Loose Your (B1) invites to take a bummel on planet Ephraim located far outside where human awareness turns into a flock of silver bambis. Finally, slowing-down Wakema (B2) brings us ashore cheerfully. 

The digital release comes up with additional and well constructed extra fuel from astroman Andre Wakko.
