Bill Bass aka Mechanist is an artist based in Southampton, England. In his 10+ year journey he has covered many forms of techno all bound by minimalism. During this time he has released with labels such as Silent Season, NFEREE, Space Textures and Circular Limited - and continued to develop his idiosyncratic style that draws as much from the current deep and hypnotic techno as it does from 90s and 00s progressive and trance music. More recently he has turned his attention to his label Intersum where he has tried to bring together artists whose own styles reflect his journey and elaborate upon their shared themes.

A small light with an enchanting green glow was moving in unusual patterns as if it was suggesting to be followed.

Instinctively, he started walking towards it. It led him through paths, trees and places he never visited before. After a while, they arrived at a garden. This place was unlike no other.

A big-eyed plant jumped from the pond and focused his gaze upon him. It seemed like all the plants were alive and were disturbed by his presence.

He walked around, closely observing everything. Strange flowers, bizarre insects and odd animals filled his vision. "What kind of place is this? Is it real or a figment of my imagination?" he asked himself.

Quicksand

The Around Us guys return on Francesco Pico's Magnitude Recordings after their 2019 EP titled 'Far Away' which was one of the labels' biggest successes to date, not in the last place because Sasha hammered (and charted) the song 'Absentis' which was featured on it.

Now the Amsterdam based artists delight us with two brand new tracks; 'Silk Flower' and 'Ghost' (in two versions). Cleverly produced, warm progressive house tunes which are rich of detail and delight. You can simply hear seasoned producers in control here. Pure quality!

Audioglider always brings that unique vibe to the table that we all love her at Manual HQ. His productions sound fresh but with the right dosage of oldschool flavor. Look back to see the future is a phrase that comes to mind when listening to his productions, and with his latest single 'The Last Of The Epicureans' this is no different.

First up on remix duties it's man of the moment Mode Apart who makes his return on MNL after having released various originals - but this being his first ever remix for the label. Coming down from the massive success of this 'Voyage' single on Perspectives Digital which dominated the progressive house charts for weeks he showcases his trademark synth driven grooves once again. Pure magic!

Another artist who makes his return on MNL is Hacobb who debuted on the label earlier this year with his 'Atlast' single. The Greek/Scottish producer, also know for his releases on Modern Agenda, Blaufield Music and High Tide Recordings delivers a remix that will be welcomed with open arms by the progressive house community for sure. It's deep, it's complex and it's intense and driving at the same time. Lovely work!'
