Bio:
The man behind Gayalaxy project is Hélder José Martins, a Producer/Musician born and based in Portugal.  Helder musical journey started around the age of 15 playing drums and bass in garage bands for many years.

Searching for new sounds, in the dawn of the new Millennium, he discovered the electronic dance music in the goa trance parties and he felt a deep connection to it! A few years later he started to mix some chill tunes in the chill out floor of parties and festivals around Portugal!

Around 2010 he began to compose and produce his own sounds and so Kala Hari project was born, focused on dub chill ambient tracks.

At the beginning of 2017, he made a track called “Night Sky” under the alias of Kala Hari for the VA Moon Salutations by Djane Allix released by the Electrik Dream label.

In this track Hélder explores the more progressive chill 4/4 beats and motivated by this new approach he decided to create Gayalaxy project, exploring deep trance spatial atmospheres, melodic soundscapes, mid/up-tempo rhythms, and progressive chill beats.

His debut Ep “Eyes of God” was released at Astropilot Music label May 2017 and in the summer of 2018, he released his album “Ashes of Time” in Astropilot Music Label that got very good reviews and feedback and was selected as one of the best albums of the year!

Also, a remixed album from Ashes of Time came out in September 2018 that was also nominated as one of the best remixes albums of 2018!

Gayalaxy was nominated as one of the best upcoming new artists of 2018 by psybient.org.

The inspiration for this project goes from deep mystic earth into distant realms of space, stars, and galaxies. Music crafted with love towards soul liberation.

Live presentations at Global Chill Out festival (Czech Republic), he performed also at Freedom Festival (Portugal), Shankra Festival (Swiss), Old School Gathering (Portugal), Unity of Love Gathering (Portugal), The Announcers of Equinox (Romania).

Ghost Rider’s music (Vlad Krivoshein) feels like being sucked into a huge particle accelerator where elements from the worlds of Progressive Trance and Psytrance collide. Emitting high amounts of energy, they merge into something new, an enigmatic reaction that opens wormholes all over the dance floor. Only one year later Ghost Rider was invited to perform his highly demanded debut album Complextro live, at major festivals all around the world. As can be seen from his background, it is no surprise that Ghost Rider is also one half of Class A, a project spearheads along with Ranji, Ghost Rider has collaborated with many acclaimed artists such as Neelix, Morten Granau, Phaxe and more. His music has been released on labels such as Iboga, Armada, Spin Twist, Blue Tunes and 432. His music is consistently played by major artists such as Vini Vici, Armin Van Buuren, Neelix and more. Johannes Horvath is an Austrian based Progressive Psy -Trance artist who created the project Gipsy Soul in 2014. 2004 was the year that two old friends, Andreas and Denis, decided to hit the studio to have some fun. After a couple of days the first tune was created and they were both very happy with the result. They decided to continue making music together and so Gaudium was born. Gaudium is the Latin word for satisfaction which is basically what music should be to the ears.

Both Andreas and Denis have been involved in several music projects before they decided to start producing together. At the end of 2004 the Swedish record label Spiral Trax heard a Gaudium track that really caught their attention and that became the start of the first album Nordic Nature. The album was released during the summer 2005 and received great reviews from both fans and critics all over the world, some even claiming it to be the best progressive release of the year (!)

The year after the album was released turned out to be a very productive time for Gaudium and they released tracks on labels like Flow, Plusquam, Sinn-Tech and Yellow Sunshine Explosion. Remixes on tracks by artists like Ace Ventura, Sensifeel, Visua and Symphonix were also made. 

Gaudium creates music that can be described as progressive psychedelic trance with elements of both house and techno. This attracts an audience that is used to the sounds of Spiral Trax, Iboga and Digital Structures as well as the crowd that are more familiar with harder progressive house such as Marc O’Tool and Krüger & Coyle.

In 2006 after the sad news that Spiral Trax label group stopped existing Gaudium went back to the studio to focus on not going down with the ship. A new album started to take shape and a record deal with the highly respected Danish label Iboga was made.

Gaudium is a name you will hear a lot from in the future. New remixes, performances around the world and fresh material produced for the second album will be presented. Stay tuned and make sure not to miss any of it :)
