Vivian Koch (aka Ful Niviak) is the cofounder of Berlin-based HeyNow and one of a raft of new generation musicians to have come of age in a time of such deep self-reflection. Beat-focused sets and more ambient productions are the two sides to Koch’s coin, the latter serving as a means of spiritual healing intended as a gift for the scene she was part of for so long (she started DJing at the age of 16 to be precise). This time, her dialectic sound yields fruit in the form of Bassiani Podcast 145, an atmosphere-heavy and evocative dreamscape, cathartic breakbeat from start to finish.

Invia aka Martin has been mixing records for round about 20 years, originally from Thuringia and has been living in Berlin for many years. There he is one of the operators of the label Voitax, whose releases just like his own style are not bound to genres. For step044 he created a driving mix, starting with deep and atmospheric break beats over grooving and crunchy techno to raving, dubby and trance moments. Let him take you on this journey.

Cynthia Matisse is a DJ based in Weimar. She usually plays a wide range of genres, with techno and house being some of her best known. In this set her aim is to tell stories combining experimental futuristic sounds with energetic and hypnotising soundscapes of breakbeats, drum and bass and post dubstep.
This set is a recording of her playing at the Flüsterzimmer Weimar, a hybrid of vinyl and digital.

Together with his crew the co-founder of the Berlin and Leipzig based collective Interphase (ex @audiovisionelles) hosted some of the wildest parties in recent berlin history, if he is not planning some ridiculous event, he usually can be found in the dance giving the crowd a pleasuring combination of still hidden gems of the past and the freshest dubs of the present. For this mix he went for a giving mixture of future Speed Garage anthems and long forgotten Bassline House classics, keeping it strictly 4x4.
