It has always been the great artist duos that really turned the wheels of cultural history: Ying and Yang, Laurel and Hardy, Siegfried and Roy. The latter’s connection to Animal Trainer definitely can’t be denied. While Siegfried and Roy might be taming white tigers though, Animal Trainer are specialising in vinyl and the dancing crowd. Both children of the illustrious nightlife of trend capital Zurich, Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson have made a name for themselves with their Rakete parties, held mostly at their home base, the chic Hive club, as well as many other locations in and around Switzerland. As dedicated music lovers and passionate entertainers, it was a natural progression for the duo to channel their constant appetite for music and endless parties into their own sounds. Thus, their first baby steps were released on Stil vor Talent in the form of ‘Talkshow’ in 2008. 	

Today, in February 2014, after numerous releases on renowned labels such as Katermukke, Dantze, Off Recordings or their own Hive Audio, the joyous duo is presenting the debut album ‘Wide’ on Stil vor Talent. Over the course of the thirteen tracks featured, Animal Trainer reveal their playful side as ‘Wide’ isn’t just dominated by dance floor tracks. Thus, one encounters a healthy pop affinity, big melodies, refreshing deep house ballads, musical downtempo and a pinch of polka. 	

The opener ‘Come Along’ offers itself as a wonderfully mellow starting point thanks to its dreamy textures of warming acoustic guitars, soft trumpet notes and Jimi Jules’ unique voice. Next, the energy starts building gradually: while ‘How Does it Feel’ pairs the r’n’b vox of Natasha Waters with areal melodies and an accessible bass-line, ‘Killed You’ feels more upbeat due to its diva vocals and synth arpeggios. ‘Gone 4 Ever’ then turns out to be classic deep house through and through – the merry strings that sweeten the break are particularly convincing here. Animal Trainer show a completely new side to their productions on the excellent electronica track ‘The Walk’, on which dub chords pulsate through a broken beat structure and creaking synths. The fragile piano does, however, steal the show. 	

After ‘Shane’ goes around dressed in a classicistic house outfit, ‘Pollen’ is directing us towards the peak time. Here, elements of neo-trance dance on top of a lush beat and driving percussion – a climax in any DJ set, no doubt. Jan Blomqvist subsequently lends his distinctive voice to the ballad ‘Keep Control’, supported by a beautifully fluid piano melody. On ‘Krambambuli’ and ‘Crashed Tuesday’ Animal Trainer then put the foot on the pedal once more, as fun is the priority. Hence, both tracks feel like they are made with the Hive club in mind, which can’t be a coincidence. The title-track ‘Wide’ simultaneously manifests itself as a gloriously quirky trumpet-epos as well as the album’s undisputable highlight. Big emotions for the head and heart! Lastly, the trance-disco-groover ‘Everybody’ and the humorous electro-polka ‘My Town feat. Otoridia’ bid us farewell. As the last accordion notes ring out, one thing is certain: wild animals aren’t easy to tame, and in Animal Trainer’s case that’s great news.

Stepper Sons, un projet de trois producteurs venant de Bordeaux qui a commencé en 2016, d'abord, le groupe est composé de deux membres, Balthazar et Cthulhoud. 
Tous deux ayant les mêmes influences et les mêmes aspirations à se lancer dans l'électro Dub, ils sortent rapidement un premier EP, "Rise Of The Stepper Sons" sans label sur soundcloud pour prendre leurs marques dans la scène locale. Après quelques dates dans des salles bordelaises tel que le BT59, sous l'aile de l'association Dirty Knees, ils sortent début 2017, un deuxième EP "The Red Warrior Journey", toujours sans label. 
Quelques dates s’enchaînent de nouveau, notamment à la Rock School Barbey et au festival Welcome To The Jungle organisé par Quetzal'Coalition. 
C'est en février 2018 que Raoultek rejoint le projet, apportant ses grandes connaissances en synthétisation sonore. 
Leurs concert s'exportent alors pour quelques dates à Angouleme, en compagnie du Zion Rave Sound Sytem. 
Le 9 novembre 2018 sortie du Nausicaa Ep.

Stepper Sons is a project of three dub producers from Bordeaux in France, the project begin in 2016 with two members, Balthazar and Cthulhoud. Both of them, having the same musical influence, they release their first EP "Rise Of The Stepper Sons" by themselves, without label After some gigs in the local scene of Bordeaux (Bt59, Rock School barbey) with the Dirty Knees crew, they release at this point (2017) the second Ep "The Red Warrior Journey".
Since february, Raoultek join the Stepper Sons project, bringing his knowledge in music theory.
November 3rd 2018, they'll release their EP "Nausicaa EP"

From "Underground Wobble"

In 2005, the album Wave Digger paves the way for two years of tour in France and worldwide, multiplying encounters and collaborations (Wangtone with Wang Lei, Zentone with Zenzile, Re-Processed remixed by their mates) and diffusing their tribal electro-dub, blending heavy breaked bassline and nervous scratches. They come back in 2007 with "Underground Wobbles" : their fourth opus seems more calm, far from Jungle, Hip Hop, Electronica or Dub experimentations, typical of Wave Digger. Entering more downtempos spheres, machines and programmation left space for instruments. Narrative and often complex compositions absorb the listener in a psychedelic and misty trip (Understellar, Round Trip...), highly-seasoned here and there by nervous and fickle tracks (Freakency, Ask The Dust, Speed 110).

As far as harmonies and melodies are concerned, they evolved too, taking High Tone to a sound more accomplished than ever, recognizable anywhere, possessed by teeming influences... To cut a long story short, with his so personnal style, High Tone mixes with a disconcerting talent electronic musics, ethnic samples and surgical scratches. Underground Wobble assert itself as the cornerstone of the works, in constant evolution, of a group tirelessly guided by clearing up new horizons, by the opening of new ways, with as line of sight the willing to never paraphrase oneself. That state of mind is the privilege of the great and the good.
