From their forthcoming LP, titled 'The Great Mystery,' the duo invites the listener on a profound, five-minute journey via “Bird Over Sand Dunes,” which features lush layers of intricately interconnected psy sounds. Spoken word interplays with serene vocalizations, while whizzing melodies drift across subtle basslines and sapid sub-bass growls. As always, Desert Dwellers makes complex compositions seem as simple as breathing.

Having departed from making psy trance several years ago, it was a real blessing to have my path lead me right back to where I had always aimed to be.  In a way it was the first time I had played my music in the environment I intended it for.

Hot off the dark shaded ‘No Saint Out Of Me’, the Norwegian producer sets the tone with another 7 minute work of art. The pre-taste of what awaits us of his second artist album, the follow-up to the successful ‘In My Opinion’, is more than promising. It’s unlike any of his previous works, yet carries that unmistakable Nilsen sound. 

Building at a right speed, rapidly unfolding its melodic character and kicking in right after its break. That’s what ‘Violetta’ is all about. Another tune that deserves the Armind halo on top.
