Hi-Lux – Feel It (Original Full On Mix) Cheeky Records 1995

The first ever Hi-Lux production - Written/recorded in 94, released in 95.

After a frenzied industry reaction from many dance labels responding to the cassette tapes of Feel it sent out to A&R departments, it was only Cheeky Records & Hooj Tunes that I wanted to sign it to to be honest. Cheeky straight away got in contact and wanted to sign it, and the rest is history. Having talked to Hooj Tunes label boss Red Jerry about the track years later, he mentioned that he'd just never received the cassette and was gutted to have missed out on the chance of signing it.

Interesting fact.... Rollo (Cheeky Label owner) came to the Studio to hear the final mix in place and meet up for the first and only time as a courtesy as he was signing Hi-Lux to his label, he very kindly (but bizarrely) brought round a carrier bag full of cans of fizzy drinks with him !! ... But a thoroughly good natured and decent bloke .... Feel it was the first ever record that he signed to Cheeky that wasn't one of his own productions which was a great honour.... he even did a remix of Feel It himself which was available on a separate 12"
