ALBA EP

The Louvre invited me to compose music for masterpieces in the permanent collection and to play them live, in the museum, in front of each painting. The performance takes the form of a guided tour where I wander from painting to painting with my electronic music instruments on a workbench with wheels.

At each stop, I invite the group of visitors who follow me to immerse themselves in
each work while listening to the music. My intention behind each composition: to bring the image to life with my own emotional perception of the work. Often, the time of observation prolonged by the the duration of the music allows to imagine a story. Sometimes, this new musical dimension gives the illusion that elements of the image are moving...

The music adds a notion of duration while the image is frozen. This parallel offers a new sensory and unusual way to discover the museum and its wonders.

Nocturne Insolite au Louvre is the EP that includes the compositions that were performed during these guided tours.

While building and coding my own electronic music instruments I used the function “void loop ()”, which loops the embedded code. This track starts on a setup phase with a long build-up as the tempo quickens. It then loops endlessly with intense synth and rhythmic sequences and other tempo changes.

"Rivière", from my upcoming EP "Nocturne Insolite au Louvre" the track is up on all platforms.

This track is the result of an ongoing performance at the Louvre in Paris. The museum invited me me to create a musical guided tour for six great paintings in their permanent exhibition.

I composed one music track per painting, with the intention to make the paintings come alive through sounds, like a story, based on my own perception of the images. I am really happy with the result and it was great just letting my inspiration flow looking at the artwork.

A fortuitous encounter with an aquatic character, «Submarine Queen», is the product of a collaboration with electro-pop singer Josie. This sensual track caresses the ears before bursting out into an unabashedly pop and catchy chorus.

New track alert! I’m incredibly happy for this release, a rework of Martin Kohlstedt‘s masterpiece DIA from his latest album.

The original track is powerful, organic with so much tension. It was incredible to dig into these textures and come up with my own version of it.

And playing it live is also a lot of fun!

Final Stretch is a track where nature and electronics come together to illustrate a “final stretch.” I recorded sounds from the forest—birdsong, cracking branches, rustling grass—to create textures and percussive elements.

Inspired by the electronic sounds of Kiasmos, Rival Consoles, and Max Cooper, this track is both atmospheric and powerful, featuring numerous natural rhythmic elements. It blends evolving melodies, deep bass, and organic percussion, inviting the listener to both escape and reflect.
