Produced by Tone Jonez, “Breathe” speaks to the ideological and philosophical effects of differences between opposing parties through the chorus section “STOP, BREATHE, RETREAT, RELAX”. With a captivating assist from his 7-year-old son, Seth, Jr., the chorus section seeks to influence the listener to reevaluate day-to-day human-to-human encounters, transactions, and situations that may be life-changing, and through the process of elimination, choose the best choice to sustain your safety in a questionable situation, while conveying respect and preserving human life. Bishop continues to master the art of lyricism through his artful lyrical exercise. Verse 1 discusses the lack of regard for human life, the never-ending battle to avenge death, and seeking a higher power to better manage emotions. Verse 2 discusses taking power back from the oppressor through the lens of education, building better awareness, creating generational wealth, and repatriation, amongst other things.

Produced by Tone Jonez, “Someday” is inspired by and dedicated to Bishop’s mother, Nancy Ruth Jones, who passed on Sunday, February 6, 2022. The first few bars of Verse 1, “Separated on Earth, We’ve been together since birth, I’m missing you more in your death, and every day I feel cursed”, speaks directly to the profound impact of her passing. The songwriter and performer notes that this was the most difficult song composition that he has ever written and performed because of the painful correlation between loving and losing someone of such an impactful presence and significance. In Verse 2, Bishop depicts the same unavoidable fate that his young son, Seth, Jr., will one day face when he has to go through growing pains after his passing. “Death is unavoidable, but by embracing the brevity of life, the hope is that you will find your reason for being and fulfill your purpose before your time is up”.

We could all use a little love right now, or at least a reminder of how joyous love makes us feel. With that in mind, Bishop The Overseer takes a lead from Pharrell and recorded this extended version of Snoh Aalegra's February hit, "Whoa." 

For Bishop's version, Snoh's original emotional vocals remain intact; as if they needed any editing, but Bishop jumps in right around the 2:11 mark with an ode to his wife that would put any spouse all in their feels.
