It’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years since Throne of Blood Recordings began. Originally conceived as a platform to release vinyl singles from NYC legends The Rapture, the label has grown and evolved into a stalwart of leftfield electronic music and a launchpad for some massively influential artists including Daniel Avery and Bicep.
This new yorker label never needed an excuse to celebrate, but hitting this milestone has made us contemplate our place in the world, reflecting on the relationships that have made Throne of Blood such an integral part of our lives and our legacy as an incubator for tomorrow’s most remarkable artists. So we’ve put together a series of anniversary EPs that bring our past and future together on the dance floor.
The first of four releases, Anniversary EP #1 features longtime friend and label collaborator Chloé Thévenin of Parisian powerhouse Lumiere Noire Records, label manager Max Pask in collaboration with Tigersushi mainman Joakim (for the first time since their killer edit of Evan’s Pyramid for Cultures Of Soul), NYC techno mainstay and Bunker affiliate Justin Cudmore, and Liona, a wildly talented producer from Ulaanbaatar.
Four musical points of view with one goal in mind: making people dance. And there’s loads more to come across four EPs dropping this Fall.

ITALO MODERNI brings Modernation Vol.4 it’s the last compilation from 4 and this time on vinyl. We finish this compilation with the best quality in production with artists like Timothy J. Fairplay, Alessandro Adriani, Chino, Chupacabras, Leroy Se Meurt, Univac and Adrian Marth. The A-side sounds like a late-80s industrial EBM cut but with a strictly new future concept inside of each track, while the b-side goes more Electro eighties weird sounds strong with metallic beats perfect for the adventurous working DJ. Everything with that futuristic touch that surrounds us today in the electronic music scene.

'Xenosonics - Vol. 1' summarizes the label's manifest to highlight the interlocution and dissonance between artists from latin america and europe, projecting local scenes globally. The release feature 12 tracks from Rhr, Manao, Jadzia, Alys, Macro Assembler, Data Assault, Moogie Fox, Alada, Cobber, Dj Unisex, Eram ft. Tabu, Mistica , Zelada.

In face of our global political dystopia, one must let one's skin feel and carefully trust the noise one chooses to make, so that this landscape is unbuilt and no longer lacks a sense of belonging. In these mixtures of sounds that stand between the mechanical, rhythmic and dreamy there is a proposition to dilute notions of time, space, and individuality, but their negation exposes their respective densities; at the same time they evaporate, they viscerally present themselves.

Distrito 91 presents the first installment of its Various Artists compilation series: "Our Own Algorithm" VOL.1

Side A begins with "Transfer Your Energy" an acid trip of classic electro with 808 drums and dreamy synth pads signed by Sound Synthesis. The master Dark Vektor follows with "Mil Imperios Mil Destinos" an epic track with fat basslines, cutting arpeggios and other-wordly vocals. 

The B-side start with "Detox" by Madrid-based producer TR_9009, a real electro-techno psycho track. Finally the record ends with UHF's "Unstable Isolation" a greasy and aggressive EBM-oriented track.

BITE is the Berlin-based techno label co-founded by Hayden Payne (aka Phase Fatale) in 2018. Beginning with the debut collaborative EP by Silent Servant & Phase Fatale, the label aims to platform artists who operate outside the conventional preconceptions of techno and are united by an ambition to push the boundaries of electronic music. This drive is further exemplified by regular showcases at renowned institutions Berghain, Basement, and Tbilisi’s KHIDI as well as a multitude of clubs throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

With a vast artist roster from stalwarts such as Ron Morelli and Teste to contemporary talent from the likes of Pablo Bozzi and Gael, the eclectic variety of releases touches upon a range of styles along the moodier fringes of electronic music.
