A producer with 20 years of experience perfecting his craft, we’re excited to welcome Ramon Tapia to Drumcode for his debut EP.

The artist previously contributed a pair of cuts to the A-Sides series in recent years with ‘Sonic Therapy’ and Drum Control’, while also playing the Drumcode stage at Tomorrowland in 2019. Elsewhere he’s dropped heat on Truesoul, led by the crisp groover ‘Manipulate’. His ascension to Drumcode for his first full-fledged solo EP release is richly deserved.  

As with so many during the past year, Tapia’s taken his studio work in colourful and interesting directions. ‘The Future of Mankind’ is a multi-faceted beast. The title track is a straight-up weapon, driven by an ascendent riff that’s energetic and hopeful in equal doses. ‘Song of Sirens’ sees ambient pads and rolling percussion combine for a quality cut every DJ needs. ‘Screwdriver’ does what it promises on the tin; guttural and textured, it’s a necessary transitional tool for every techno set. ‘Hold On’ is the kind of emotion charged dance music that’ll make us go collectively weak at the knees when raving returns. We’re already excited to hear it rinsed at Drumcode Festival in Malta this September, when Tapia joins the party.

Many fans of Intec will recognise Raito from his hard hitting remix of the Frankie Bones classic "Call It Techno" which was released on the label in 2017, and by popular demand he is back with a solo EP of original material.

Alongside the aforementioned, he has also been a regular feature of Boysnoize Records plus contributed to other labels such as Nervous, BNR TRAX and Brooklyn Fire.

Based in France, Raito is heavily influenced by the classic sounds of jungle and hardcore. Fusing trademark sounds classic to those genres with the modern techno style, he has a unique and timeless sound that at times also touches on house music.

Believe In Me kicks off the EP with its earth shaking bassline and rattling percussion. Building in momentum, the soothing female vocal sample adds a calming influence over the otherwise fast and furious vibe of this peak time track.

With an industrial sound the mechanical groove of Lost Temple is next up on the EP that packs a serious amount of punch. Building towards the eerie tension of the breakdown, its pitched percussion melody hook adds to the tracks tidal wave of rhythm.

Finishing things off is the ravey collaboration with T78 titled Can You See which has vocals stabs alongside bursts of broken beat percussion and old school synth textures that add to its warehouse party feel. Dark and aggressive, this cut is the perfect way to end an EP with a bang.

Markantonios label AnalyticTrail is back with a new mixed artist EP featuring the label owner himself alongside others who have previously featured on the imprint such as Luis Miranda, Dok&Martin, Angioma and Hanubis.

Expression is a series that showcases emerging talent that are set for big things in the near future with many of the artists having already featured on other influential labels such as Kraftek, Odd Recordings, Terminal M, Codex Recordings, Set About and Tronic.

The sixth edition of the series gives further exposure to each of the artists who are all destined for big things in the future months, and Markantonio adds his own music to show support for their talents that are already parallel with some of technos most established veterans.

Opening with the powerful synth line of "Fearless" by Markantonio, the compilation transcends the full spectrum of techno incorporating acid, industrial and twisted euphoria. Dark and compelling, each of these exceptional tracks are perfect for peak time DJ sets.
