Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present: Introversion

The 25-year-old Berliner by choice which defines himself as a producer, sound designer, and DJ is part of the new generation of young talents gaining a foothold in the electronic music industry by shaping it with his own pioneering style.

In terms of producing, drums play a significant role in Introversion’s compositions (it was the first instrument he laid his hands on in adolescent years). Many are breakbeat focused – not just the odd track here and there, it is definitely something that permanently defines his style. Other common denominators in his work are the continuous exploration of infusing furious dark 90’s inspired techno with melancholic trance elements. Drums in full attack or wild synth stabs often get calmed by an emerging wave of classic trance chords finding their way into the arrangement. The way Introversion carefully picks out and introduces these old school-components, not being scared of their effect upon incorporating them, is what makes his tracks sound fresh and invigorating.

As a DJ, Introversion creates a diverse combination of tracks originated from hard, forceful techno. His sets mainly consist of new or unreleased material, drawing inspiration from 90’s and 00’s techno, rave and trance, alongside bridging a way to well-selected classics. To find the right balance for the journey, the emphasis lies as much on seeking out the track with the perfect severe kick drum, as well as the one containing the right atmospheric moment: “I love to play melodies and harmonic stuff, not just drum jams. But always quite hard”.

Her selections lay a foundation that transports her listeners to a dark and cemented energy-filled space. A diverse arrangement of influences and genres ensures that audiences stay attentive and curious towards each of her performances.

For this mix, she wanted to raise awareness about Ukrainian refugees and the fact that war is still ongoing.

It's kind of a no-brainer. U.R. Trax is one of those rare artists who go straight for the jugular on the first approach. A burst of energy, youth in its most innocent and furious form. A gifted 17-year-old, she sweeps away all stereotypes with her presence and talent.

After attending the music conservatory at the age of 11, she finished her master's degree in 2019. This gifted artist has started to make her mark on the techno scene. First by joining the team organizing the Possesion events, then by quickly slaying dancefloor at their parties. Spotted by the greatest DJs of the moment, she has just signed her debut EP on Hector Oaks' KAOS label and is preparing several collaborations that promise to be incredible. Our next releases on Lobster Theremin, Live From Earth or her own imprint on Kaos Label looks like the 2021’s blast to come.

Booked everywhere in Europe, and determined for her future, this producer who blends her voice to her productions like Miss Kittin 2.0 , she prepare her first live and will be one of the talents to follow in the years to come.

"The tracks I’ve played in this mix are mainly unreleased from fresh artists I discovered more or less recently (the frenchies VEL and Mac Declos for instance), unreleased of mine and some of the best old school second hand records I bought last week.
