Season's Drain

Wow, this is it, the final song I will be posting for the untitled album Stricknice, Bitzone, Wou-Wou & the Wormling and I have been working on! We posted the first song, “Ghosting Out,” from this set on January 4, 2021. I started this set of 12 songs in 2020, during the pandemic, using demo tracks that Wou-Wou graciously allowed me to use. I can’t, yet totally can, believe that it took 5 years to finish and finally post all the songs. I am still not sure if all 12 songs will be included in the album since the total run time is about 43 minutes and I like albums to be a little closer to 30 minutes. We still also need to decide on the track sequence. Eventually the album will be posted the album on Bandcamp for free. 

I have written it many times before and I will write it again, it has been an immense pleasure and honor and blast to work with Sticknice, Bitzone, and Wou-Wou on this set of songs. I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity.

The Shrike Pt. 4

Heartscore, Stricknice, Bitzone, Wou-Wou & The Wormling, and the Couch King - The Shrike Pt. 4

Spirelevation is a piece which incorporates and fuses elements of south asian music and psychedelia.
In this case, Steffen began with a rhythm track which he supplied to me. My only request was "something with a bhangra flavor". With this as a start point, I began to layer guitar and bass tracks, drawing from some riffs and progressions I had developed through the years. Feeling that the combination of rhythmic and harmonic elements had merit, Steffen began his mixing process - arranging and rearranging sections as I provided additional guitar tracks.

The result, we hope, is music which is both familiar and innovative, blending our interests in experimental, world music, and rock into something more than the sum of it's parts and decisively Mindflower.
We hope you enjoy.

I like the idea to bring poems to the world in such a short and unadulterated way. So I asked him if he would give me some of his verses to combine with something new and yes :)

how did they know that I would flip out with the flows?
was it something I said? assuming so but I suppose
that that’s the way that it goes like how else could I ever hope
to upload a viral video as a post?
I’m nowhere near a pro but if by chance I get close
I’ll continue to show integrity gotta have soul
in this twilight zone guest starring celebrity ghosts
I just get in the spirit when I get on the microphone

without a worry in the world
working my way towards rhyming with every word

or something else unlike what you have ever heard of
