Bjarni Biering is an Icelandic film composer and musician who creates aural soundscapes that illuminate the imperfectly extraordinary and unremarkably sublime terrain of the human experience.  His music tells human stories, where the only certainty is the ever-present, ever-constant passage of time, and our greatest hope (and deepest melancholy) is our connection to, and separation from, one another. 
Classically trained in traditional modes of score and technique, Bjarni disrupts the clean classicism of his sound with economically dispersed beats and delicately layered piano – the crescendo never quite arriving because real human stories don’t work like that – and his are very real and very human stories.
