"Eternal Signs" is the first track off of Milford Graves and Bill Laswell's album "Space / Time・Redemption. Out February 26 on TUM Records.

This album is the first duo recording by the legendary drummer and percussionist Milford Graves, who first rose to the forefront of improvised music in the mid-1960s as a member of the New York Art Quartet, through his solo and duo percussion performances and in groups led by Albert Ayler, Giuseppi Logan, Don Pullen and Sonny Sharrock, among many others, and the equally incomparable bassist Bill Laswell, who is known for his unique electric bass artistry in groups like Material, Massacre, Last Exit and Arcana, for performing and recording with the likes of Ginger Baker, Herbie Hancock, James “Blood” Ulmer and John Zorn and for working as a producer on countless sessions ranging from new age or rock influences to world music and free improvisation.

Philipp Rumsch, born in 1994, is a composer, pianist, and sound designer from Leipzig, Germany. He was a student at the secondary school „Clara Wieck“, with a special focus on music, and the „Robert Schumann Conservatory“ between 2011 and 2013 and was trained in piano both in classical and popular music as well as in composition. A year later he was  accepted in the junior development program at the Academy of Music and Theatre „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ in Leipzig. Since October 2013, Philipp has been studying jazz piano in Leipzig and spent two semesters studying Music Performance at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen from 2016 to 2017. During his studies he specialized on the fields of composition and sound design/music production.

In his conceptual work he transfers the sound aesthetic and compositional principles of Minimal, Pop and Electronic Music into an acoustic and orchestral format. The debut album of his twelve-person ensemble, „reflections“, will be released in February 2018 on Denovali Records.

"Our Love Is The Gold" is the third proper studio album from Paco Sala following "Ro-Me-Ro" & "Put Your Hands On Me". Written over 4 years it marks a return to song-writing for the duo, employing fever-dream melodies and synth drunk hooks, balanced against off-kilter production that sets them apart from their peers.

Intense, impassioned, guttural yet enigmatic - the album documents the process of leaving London and the empowerment a new life inspires. The opening & title track is a statement of intent “are you aware of my power?” repeats Garza, leaving us in no doubt that we really shouldn’t doubt her.

Tone set, what follows is gloriously idiosyncratic and deeply personal pop, presented without compromise or concession. Direct, confident, articulate - gone are the the opiated improvisations of 2017’s "The Silent Season", though the wilful sense of adventure remains throughout. "Our Love is The Gold" is a record of awakenings and self-discovery. Praise about Paco Sala:

With Dysnomia, the Brooklyn-based group Dawn of Midi made up of double bass player Aakaash Israni, pianist Amino Belyamani and drummer Qasim Naqvi abandon improvisation in favour of composition, utilising sophisticated rhythmic structures from North and West African folk traditions to weave a sonic tapestry of trance-inducing grooves. From close up one may see only dots, but when stepping back an undulating image reveals itself. “We didn’t want to create anything cerebral,” says Belyamani, “we wanted something visceral, something that would awaken our instinctive dance impulses.”

“We wanted to make a record that sounded both musically futuristic and sonically vintage,” explains Israni, “and since the album never saw a proper international release, it is very exciting to see what might happen when more people are exposed to it. And to be aligned with Erased Tapes, whose enthusiasm for the music they release has done a lot for exposing unique instrumental and electronic music, makes it that much more interesting.”
