It's a mad world, so I'm gonna go somewhere over the rainbow! The base was recorded at a backyard concert in Phoenix. The recording was kindly shared with me by singer-songwriter Eric Douglas, and I added a "backing band" on audacity and my Zoom H4.

I was inspired by the Glendale "Folk Fest" Jams (not really the folk fest but oh well...) This is the sound I'm shooting for, but with more right notes and stuff like that...So the instrument in the lead is a Seagull dulcimer and in the background is a Blueridge Autoharp and a cajon.

this sounds like shit, still trying to figure out how to account for the lag in audacity. But I wanted to post it for the harmonies. I almost got them right!  Oh and I'm tone deaf.  This was a Carter Family song, then Elvis covered it and re-created it completely!

This was from the practice studio in Mesa before playing at the Glendale Folk Fest. It is very sloppy and I didn't have much time to clean it up so I recorded it with a big guitar amplifier so I could hear everything and then fast-fix as much as possible before the show.

I remember sitting on the floor with my electric, my 4-track, and my sheet music, and knocking out 3 tracks of guitars. Then I remember my husband at the time dropped his jaw to the floor while I was mixing that. Finally, ass-backwards, I added the drums and keyboards. But I can't control the creative process. Adding a drum beat was a mistake that miraculously lined up with the timing, so I left it in.
