Roladex nostalgically borrows ideas from music of the past to carefully craft a unique brand of futuristic-mechanized pop, with an emphasis on songwriting and layered production. Weaving sparse, sequenced arpeggios into fuzzy bass and bubbly melodies to create a bed of sound where they layout a somehow bright melancholia. Part minimal synth-wave, part dream pop. Abandos began as the brainchild of Kyle Marchiafava. After releasing a 7" on Bruised Tongue in addition to another 7" later in 2014, the band rebranded itself in January of 2015. Kyle made the switch to use an MPC 1000 in lieu of a live drummer and bassist, as many lineup changes had plagued Abandos from the start.

After stripping down to just an MPC, Wes Russel of Hot Guts was brought aboard to Abandos on guitar; "Nurture" being the first release of their material in this lineup. The style of music they produce in this way is heavily influenced by genres of EBM and synthpunk, with unique character added to it by way of Wes' guitar work and Kyle's vocal tone.

The 'Solus Tandem' split is a double-tape package with one C20 by Einzelnen and another by Speaking Parts, two Philadelphia electronic musicians who have played in bands together and now present the debut of both of their solo projects.

All Einzelnen tracks were composed and produced by Luke Larix using a Doepfer A-100, Roland SH-101, and an ARP Odyssey. 

Speaking Parts' tracks were composed and produced by Dan Shields using a eurorack drum kit, a MS-20 mini, and a TB-303 clone.

Together, Solus Tandem is the first physical release for both artists, and all tracks of both tapes have been mastered by Alex Nagle for consistency in playback.
