Promises

“The Good Plates” is a rowdy, heartwarming folk-rock anthem about quitting perfection and actually living the life you have—now. Dusty china in a cabinet, paper plates on the table, unpaid bills, messy kitchen… and then the decision: get down the good plates, pour the good wine, and stop saving your joy for some imaginary special occasion. Gang vocals, claps, and a gloriously messy guitar solo turn this into a loud, communal singalong about choosing “us” over “stuff.” If you’ve ever been “too careful” with your life, this is your smash-the-fear-in-the-kitchen song.

The Good Plates

I first heard this when I went to see the legendary Don Letts DJ at an out door gig a while back, as soon as I got home i looked up who had done this awesome version and found it was a French reggae group by the name of the Dynamics, needless to say I got a hold of the record with a quickness. I have been meaning to do an edit of this for a while now, and as I am approaching nearly 1000 followers I thought I might do a few special limited download edits over the coming weeks to say thank you to all the kind people that stop by and listen to the music I share.
