Alex Ocampo operates at the intersection of raw and dark Techno. His music has landed on Odd Recordings, Unity Records and Magna Recordings, earning support from heavyweights like Danny Tenaglia, Coyu, Agent Orange Dj and Demi. On the floor, Ocampo’s sets channel dirty grooves, hypnotic tension, and relentless momentum into fully immersive late-night journeys.

Born in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México, his attraction for the electronic music was born at an early age, influenced for the first artists he listened to: Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Jeff Mills, John Acquaviva, Robert Hood, Octave One, Blake Baxter, Dopplereffekt, DJ Stingray 313, Kenny Larkin, Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen, Paco Osuna, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, DJ Hell, Andreas Henneberg, Jean Michel Jarre, Tiga, Oliver Huntemann and Gregor Tresher for mention a few. As well in his formative age he acquired an attraction to the Underground Resistance movement and fell in love with the Detroit sound and its variants and also with the entire scene and representatives. shortly after, he met Richie's Minus label and all of this in fusion created his range of influences and inspirations. Some time later he focused paying attention and listened different explorations of genres, trapped between dark electronic and Techno in all of his forms. In this way he found in the music his complete refuge and preferred escape. A short time later he began to take an interest in the collection of songs and looked for the ways to learn how to mix and perform digitally taking into account interfaces, computers, software and other instruments or gadgets that help him create atmospheres and sounds with a mix and sound intervention adjusted to the listener. He started to produce his first demos and projects between 2014 and 2015 but it was not until 2019 that with a defined sound and a complete focus on starting his career as a producer, he officially released his first EPs on many labels around the world in 2020. His work genres are an enigma, involve many things, something between Techno, you discover it, you describe it, you can give it your own interpretation and meaning because it doesn't like to be tagged. His main priority is provide and produce sounds and melodies focused on something out of the conventional and common without failing his essence or his favorite music taste.
