We're not 100% what a session victim is here at DJ Mag Towers but we're pretty sure we've been one at some point.

As for the Berlin duo known as Session Victim, we know exactly who they are. Their names are Hauke Freer and Matthias Relling, they live in Berlin and are just about to release an obscenely classy follow up to 2012's excellent debut LP 'The Haunted House of House' on which their deep sample-based disco/house reaches a whole new level of gorgeousness.

They're also on board for DJ Mag Sessions at Egg LDN on Saturday 22nd November alongside DJ W!LD, Ejeca and Glimpse so they dropped us a 30-min mix featuring Leon Vynehall, Francis Inferno Orchestra and their own little soulful wonder 'Stick Together'...

The first hour pays a tribute to the season of autumn, with soothing and laidback tracks mainly from 70s/80s jazz records from artists such Bobby Hutcherson, The Visitors, Diggs Duke, Chico Hamilton to name a few. As the second hour of the show approaches, the autumn-theme continues and moves into the current hiphop-sphere with a nod to “drumless” raps that’s been in the system lately. You’ll hear tracks from Your Old Droog, K Sluggah, Jonwayne, Navy Blue and many more.
