One of the most exciting and influential figures in contemporary underground electronic music, Vladimir Ivkovic is not just a DJ, but a storyteller of sounds, a connoisseur of music and a brilliant artist. With a unique talent for selecting records and slowly inviting them to intertwine into complex and compelling narratives, Vladimir has been pushing the boundaries of electronic music since the 80s. 

Although he has been making music for almost two decades, he really honed his craft and gained exposure when he became resident at Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs club alongside Lena Willikens, Toulouse Low Trax and Wolf Muller.

Immerse yourself in two hours of deep listening with this Rasputin-like, but actually very gentle man who explores notions of beauty and tranquility through unusual frequencies created by playing records at the wrong speed.

Cousin is the founder of Moonshoe Records and is a talented producer who tends to focus on creating delicate soundscapes reflective of abstract environments and worlds.

His music is deep and pensive, at times club focussed yet at others anything but.

Over the past few years he has self released material on Moonshoe alongside records on the likes of Mood Hut and Well Street Records. His music has been supported broadly and his dj sets are versatile and multi faceted in respect to style and genre.

Cousin’s remarkable discography and dedication solidify him as a trendsetter in ambient techno and electronics. This mixtape offers a brief insight into his own taste and outlook when it comes to dance music – dubby, dusty and atmospheric throughout it really is quite the trip and is perfect as we approach the cold nights of winter and those dark early rises.

Cousin: The 'Wednesday Alternative' Mix

In this take over by the label TECNOLOGÍAS ELEMENTALES (Buenos Aires / Berlin), they present a selection of Djs and live acts to introduce their second album.  This encounter took place on a very special day: April 2nd in Argentina commemorates the victims of the Malvinas War, a bloody confrontation between the neoliberal government of Margaret Thatcher and the murderous Argentine dictatorship over British-occupied territory. 
Kiernan Laveaux is a connective rhythmic energy conduit & ecstatic beat conductor from the Great Lakes. A boundless ball of discordant energy, she’s best known for her arcane technical skill, propulsive dancefloor catharsis, & hyper-creative approach behind the decks. The music included here is all-embracing & expansive, but unified by a restless sense of ecstatic momentum, dissonant euphoria, & kinetic exuberance. This channels binary dissolving phenomena throughout our known universe via unbridled musical vitality.

Composed of producers Matthew Wilson and Lauren Squire, OK EG’s strident sound melds rhythm, bass and analogue synth. Known for their hardware-based live sets, the pair spiral around unpredictable patterns and interlocking grooves, encapsulating the unhinged energy of the Melbourne underground. For this special performance on Kiosk Radio, OK EG will perform new music written for their live set at Silent Green in Berlin as part of Kia's Cirrus label showcase. I first met Pjenne in the Bookar Crater at the inaugural Inner Varnika festival in 2017. Only moments after our introduction we were hugging and swaying together, to an unforgettable set by my brother Ben. Little did I know she had already played at the festival before I’de arrived and would soon become one of my favourite disk jockeys. 

Pjenne’s sets all manage to have a unique and alluring atmosphere, a vibe that permeates itself no matter the style or genre she’s exploring. Each set brings a sonic embrace, a warmth similar to that which I felt when we first met. 

This mix is no different, a certified classic of dubbed jams mined from the depths of ’89 to ’03. Please Enjoy!
