Final full remastered version of my "protecting my devotion" song from 2009.

So yes.. the original version I had originally made on my laptop without any speakers.. thus there was originally too much bass.. so originally I stripped it out and submitted ff9 protecting my devotion parts 1 and 2 - I think I might have also mastered both parts differently. in any case many complained about the lack of bass and the lack of it being one song.

Well now that the file limit is higher I can now upload this - took a stab at it today, remastered the original "too bassy" mp3 file into something I am more or less content with.. after hours of listening it's hard to tell if it really sounds good anymore or if your mind is just telling you it does haha..

in any case it has bass now.. so you can crank that shit up if you want to :P

Rose of May (Beatrix's Theme)

A rock band rearrangement/cover of 'Still More Fighting' from Final Fantasy VII. Being one of my favourite video games ever since, I always wanted to bring the awesome score of this classic into a modern, real world context.

While staying relatively faithful to the original, I also drew some inspiration from the live performance of 'The Black Mages' on 'Still More Fighting'. Because this uptempo boss battle theme is really uprising and aggressive, I decided to go for a rock/metal band feel. All instruments are played by me.

Managed to find some time to do another VGM! Hope you like it. This is the first in many of Final Fantasy covers. Cus seriously, Nobuo Uematsu is one of the reasons I'm pursuing music! So I'd thought to pay tribute to that ol leg end and do my interpretation of the anthem of Steiner and Beatrix slaying those weird hedghog slug mist things in Alexandria!
