After being the voice of 2012's anthem 'Concrete Angel,' Christina Novelli and Craig Connelly's new collaboration 'Black Hole' is full of moody undertones about the dangers of diving head first into new love, but twists and turns into an uplifting trance anthem full of clubby dance vibes. Out June 17 on Garuda Music, the release of 'Black Hole' is joined by the official music video that can be viewed here. 

With Christina's powerful vocals and Craig's thoughtful approach to production, 'Black Hole' is reminiscent of the old school raver days of 138 BPM, kandy kids and underground dance clubs, but with a modern twist that uniquely pushes today's sound forward. A guitar riff plays off the track's storytelling of being caught between following your heart or listening to your brain, and the yearning lyrics will resonate with anyone who's ever been in that position. But where 'Black Hole' tugs on your heartstrings, its catchy groove and sing-a-long spirit will bring a smile to the face of even the most hardened trancefamily member. 

As head of A&R at Garuda Music, Craig Connelly is the name behind chart-topping tracks such as 'Like Whatever,' 'Absolute Electric,' 'Robot Wars,' and 'Manchester AM.' He has remixed for Tritonal ('Everafter'), Gareth Emery ('Concrete Angel') and John B. (Connected) and played alongside the world's top DJs at Ministry of Sound, Sankeys, The Warehouse and Space Miami. Christina Novelli became known as the breakout singer-songwriter from last year who racked up over 15 million views for the 'Concrete Angel' music video. Fresh off her first US tour, Christina has upcoming collaborations in the pipeline with Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin, and Judge Jules, along with a Gareth Emery sequel. 

Nominated as Future Favorite on episode #615 of Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance radio show, 'Black Hole' proves that the future shines bright for Craig Connelly and Christina Novelli.

Hot off the success of his combined hosting and production duties on the anthem for his much praised Airwalk Festival, Fisherman follows up on The Jaguar with quite an ambitious project, comprising of four specialized pieces for 2019; with an emphasis on opposing roles. The first of which is the intriguingly titled "Predator vs. Prey". 

Part of an overall collective EP bearing the name of "Versus"; each individual composition will be individually curated and linked throughout this calendar year; with the opening act illustrating roles that many of us can endure in a particular life setting. 

In his own words, the Venlo native describes the thought process - "As I think a lot of you, friends, fans and family can relate to the story behind it. Life is full of challenges and we set our own goals, each and every one of us. But society can sometimes throw itself right in-between ourselves and those specific goals… like a true predator."

The predatory element of the piece lies patently in its bassline; Menacing while hovering between different rhythms as the tension builds; giving way to the emotionally vulnerable prey. The chase between the two begins, reflected in the anthemic qualities we have become accustomed to under Fisherman's portfolio of work. 

A scene of nature that will play out bombastically on the dancefloor; but Predator vs. Prey has a motivational resonance behind it all. The predatory instincts in fighting for everything you earn, and the preyfulness in combating obstacles and barriers put agains you.

Elizabeth explains how the track draws heavily from her cultural roots, “This is a song of love and blessing for my mother, father and loved ones. In Akan culture we recognise the sacrifices that each individual makes when raising children of the next generation, passing down wisdom from old to new. Sending out blessings is something we do to show love and appreciation and to say thank you.”

ilan Bluestone ‘Mama Africa’ featuring EL Waves is set for release on Anjunabeats on the 19th of February with the full EP arriving this spring.
