This is the first of two EPs featuring Extended Mixes from Pure Trance Vol. 5. First up is the glorious Gods from Ocean State (a.k.a. Dean Roberts to his Mum!) – this is a track which has been a fixture of Solarstone’s sets for nigh on 12 months, it has the perfect breakdown, huge pads followed by a meticulously programmed filtered synth riff and a pay off which delivers on every level. Absolutely brilliant. On the flip is The Way Back - another dose of what Paul Denton does so well; pristine and¬ euphoric uplifting 140bpm trance music.

This is the second of two E.Ps featuring Extended Mixes from Pure Trance Vol. 5. First is Russell G’s epic  Driven, constructed around an infectious, intricate lead melody. Precise and inventive drum programming relentlessly Drives (see what we did there?) the track forward, it is definitely one for the tougher floors. Second is another in a series of collaborations between these two Romanian producers, Suncatcher and Exolight. An Andy Moor-esque progressive bassline is order of the day, in fact this track could be classed as prog-lifting if that were not such an awkward tag. Regardless of genre-specifics, a beautiful sun-kissed melody is the beauty within Nothing Like You, it’s definitely one for the dreamers.

It's the second remix offering from Tunisian producer Blue5even here on Amsterdam Trance Records after he really came through with us with an epic remix of Reorder & Katty Heath's 'Love Again'. This time around it's an absolute belter originally from Nitrous Oxide & Maria Nayler on sister label RNM: 'The Beauty of The Night'. The tempo is up and the Uplifting vibes are plentiful in this perfect example of Vocal Trance.
