With tracks highlighting the duo’s unique blend of dirt and wire, the album expertly combines acoustic, electric and electronic elements, which are carefully chosen and mixed together into their musical alchemy with pride. The album follows recent appearances at Coachella and Lucidity festivals, and is followed by a Summer tour along the West Coast, as well as an appearance at Sonic Bloom in Colorado.

A special track for the holiday season, donate to download Dirtwire's remix of Sudanese music legend Abdel Karim el Kably's "El Jamil El Fick" (The Beauty in You) to help benefit families in Sudan.

Since fighting in South Sudan broke out in December 2013, more than two million people have been forced to flee their homes and 4.6 million now face hunger, the two charities said.

Also in the north, in remote areas on the west bank of the River Nile, the two agencies said they had been able to reach some 27,000 people in villages cut off since March by violence and access problems, and had finished distributing food aid to them on Monday.

“With little or no services available, children are going without nourishing food and healthcare in these villages,” said Jonathan Veitch, UNICEF Representative in South Sudan. “It is a desperate situation.”

Musing freely on two themes from Disasterpeace's FEZ soundtrack: "Beacon" and "Forgotten." 

Amazingly, this was me and surasshu's first collaboration in person! It was great to feel things out and play off of each other face-to-face. The end result is different than what we're both used to - much more loose and improvisatory-sounding, as you'd expect from two people making music in a room together. 

We named our arrangement "Come Back" in reference to both the words beacon (a guiding light) and forgotten (something you've encountered in the past, but have lost.)
