"Blacksamp" or ”Samp Black” is a futuristic and innovative producer, artist and engineer residing in Greensboro, North
Carolina. He attended college at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro where amidst his courses his love for music and dance grew as he connected with other artsy talents while majoring in philosophy. Samp also completed some course work in audio engineering at Guillford Tech. Blacksamp gets his inspiration to do music from the origins of Kanye West, Pharell Williams and the producers that push the innovative envelope like Diplo, Metro Boomin, and Mike Will. The goal to reach for new sounds yet still giving a familiar feel is what he sets out to achieve in every piece
he touches. Samp has had the opportunity to meet some successful people in the music business. One notable moment was when Blacksamp met with Tuo from the Mega Producer group “Da Internz” and was deemed a genius by the platinum producer. Samp values getting better everyday and has stayed true and humble to this aspect for the past 7 years and counting.
