A classically trained musician hailing from Mississippi, Matt "MJ" Hall hit the ground running. Moving to New York City at the age of 18, Hall was quickly recruited by Nicki Minaj. His first commercial release was for her 'Pink Friday' album in 2012. 

A multi-instrumentalist and self-proclaimed “gear nerd”, Hall sets himself apart from most of today's so-called producers. By his senior year of high school he was running his own studio. He uses his innate curiosity and affinity for music to create tracks that move not only bodies but also souls. Hall's diverse production abilities encompass a broad spectrum from Nicki Minaj's hip-hop to Nicole Moudaber's techno. 

More recently Hall has moved from behind the computer to behind the decks. His DJ debut was at the legendary club Cielo in New York’s Meat Packing District. Since then he has played at New York's Space and Pacha. Seeing a live crowd respond to his music has positively affected his work in the studio. His most recent tracks have been for the likes Jamar Rogers, Rough Copy, Lil Wayne, Bobby Valentino, Thenameisluz, Jonte', and Nicole Moudaber to name a few.
