Fresh from his SXSW shows with DJ Paypal & DJ Taye - DEV79 flexes his most HEAVYWEIGHT release to date - “Can’t Fit In A Box.” 

With this 4 track EP expect HUGE smacking basslines and melodies that get stuck in your DOME! If you’re looking for tunes to impress, this album has something for everyone from Hip-Hop heads, Footwork fans, Club fiends and even something for the underground rave. All twisted to the unique vision of Dev79. 

The spearheading single “You & I Is Us” features Philly’s MC Elixir, who busts his deep raps over intricate beat chops and MASSIVE 160BPM BASS. The EP’s other collabo “Emerald Tree Boa” with Dev79’s “160 Philly” partner Sideswipe has an old school RAVE and garage feel that will get dancefloors bumping!

79 is a Philadelphia bred artist who re-located to Los Angeles last year but he still has mad pride in his hometown. Which is strongly evident on this EP since all of the tracks were started in Philly and finished in LA and the collaborators and themes of the songs are all related to Philly. 

Dev79 has been a producer/DJ for 20 years with roots in grime, jungle, ghettotech and industrial. He effortlessly weaves elements of a plethora of music styles into a tapestry of urban bass music that he (along with compatriot Starkey) have dubbed “Street Bass.” Dev79 and Starkey are the masterminds behind the Seclusiasis empire, as well as Slit Jockey Records with partner El Carnicero.

With his riotous DJ sets, Dev79 has kept dance floors sweaty across North America with his deep selection of bass heavy urban music, and has shared the stage alongside acts such as Ivy Lab, Bok Bok, DJ Shiftee, AC Slater, 6Blocc, Juke Bounce Werk, Girl Talk, RP Boo, Plastician, Skepta, Kastle, Murderbot and more.

FULL BIO:

Babilonska (Zagreb, Croatia) is a DJ inspired by styles ranging from eccentric jazz, hip hop beats and psychedelic soundscapes to noisy riffs from the depths of hell.  In her sets, she mixes a wide range of genres, focusing on heavy bass and playful percussion, but always with a pinch of psychedelia and drama. 

She was a curator of ZEZ Festival for 8 years, which features experimental music and sound art. She co-founded Subtilno, a collective dedicated to drum and bass, footwork and jungle. In 2021, she performed at the first Croatian Boiler Room event. Within the past year she has shared the stage with the likes of LCY, Coco Bryce, Blawan, Deft and many regional and local artists. In 2024, she performed at Fusion Festival in Germany and the Hamburg club Hafenklang.

“Immediately afterwards we were treated to a deconstruction of the past and future of electronic music in real time by Croatia’s Babilonska, whose trippy vibes had a very dark, sardonic edge to them. Her pulsating, dissolving backdrop only confirmed the fact that some form of high magick was being performed. An absolutely magnificent, spellbinding show.” - Louder Than War

Madam Bliss is a music producer and DJ that pushes bass music vibes . She is known to mix all different types of Bass music together to form her own unique sound. She loves to mix melodic, trancey and uplifting sounds into her deep wubs and heavy baselines. Her roots are breakbeats, house, jungle/DNB, rooted dubstep, trap and hip hop. She grew up as a house dancer turned breakdancer who was compelled by these beat.  . She has been playing guitar and keys since she was a child.  Anything Bass heavy and soulful that evokes good feelings is her kind of style. "There is good music in all genres, as long as you have good taste in music!"

She has released a bunch of tracks on different labels including her own Roots Run Deep Records. Her work has appeared on We Got This Music, Street Ritual, Shadowtrix, BKoast, Dirty Kitchen Raves, Pinecone Moonshine and other labels. If you're lucky you may even catch her doing one of her breakdance performances in-between mixing and scratching!
