Berlin-based producer and live act Nils Hoffmann releases his latest single “Lonely”, and will be launching his new Phenomena project with its first EP to be released July 28 on Anjunadeep.

In this new single, Nils collaborates with talented British singer-songwriter Rae Morris, who is known for her previous work with Lane 8 on the track ’No Fun’ and acclaimed by Clash, NME and The Guardian. Nils pairs Rae Morris' heartfelt vocals with warm synths characteristic to his sound, creating a pop-influenced summer anthem.

The Phenomena EP series is a new ongoing project for Nils to release music that feels fitting for the present moment.

“There's so much beautiful music that I'm excited to share with you in the future,” said Nils, “which leads me to my new Phenomena releases. While working towards my next album, there are some tracks that I just couldn't wait to release. Maybe the inspiration felt too current to save, or the tunes felt appropriate for the season, this project will give me a running series to keep things fresh.”

Nils described his inspiration behind the single, saying “"Lonely", features  a beautiful vocal from Rae Morris. I made this for my live sets, and it was inspired by the highs and lows of my first headline tour this past winter. Going from the euphoria of performing to sleepless nights in hotels around the world is quite an experience, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.”

Nils’ latest single follows the release of his highly praised album ‘A Radiant Sign’ which has amassed over 20m streams and radio support on BBC Radio 1, SiriusXM Chill, KCRW and more. The album reached #1 on iTunes Dance and was championed by the likes of Maceo Plex, Joris Voorn and Eelke Kleijn, to name a few.

This summer, Nils is embarking on an extensive tour, with over 30 shows across Europe and the USA. His performances included renowned events including Tomorrowland, ABGT Weekender at the Gorge and Anjunadeep Open Air at The Brooklyn Mirage.

Scandinavian production duo anamē join forces with Lydmor on ‘Someone We Used To Love’, the second single from their upcoming debut album on Anjunabeats.

Marcus Schössow and Thomas Sagstad have been planning, plotting and dreaming anamē for two decades. First coming together at a house party in Helsingborg, Sweden, Marcus and Thomas bonded over a love of artists (Sasha or early Tiesto), labels (Strictly Rhythm, Defected), ethics (“We both wanted to work hard for our dreams”) and ideas.

'Someone We Used To Love' sees anamē collaborate with Danish singer-songwriter Lydmor. A celebrated artist, Lydmor dropped her critically acclaimed album 'CAPACITY' in 2021, and won a ROBERT (Danish Grammy) for best song with her work on the film score for Venus Effekten in 2022. The esteemed musician has played on the stages of Roskilde Festival, Tinderbox, Northside Festival, Indie Music Week in New York and beyond.

Previously released as part of her album ‘CAPACITY’, Schössow first heard 'Someone We Used To Love' after his cousin sent him a Facebook video of Lydmor singing the original song.

“There was something so special about it,” Marcus says of the vocal and feel of the track.“The way she sings it, it's like you're in the story and we can feel her pain. It's one of those records that we've had on the hard drive for almost two years, and we keep coming back to it and saying: that is a good one.”

“And it has a little bit of a controversial bite to it,” continues Sagstad. “It's very edgy, rough around the edges. We just knew we had to do more with her. She's just one of those forces of nature that we knew worked with our sound.”

anamē got their new album campaign off to a blistering start last month with the release of 'Anywhere (Road Trippin')', recently added to Sirius XM BPM. Over the coming weeks and months, the band will be pulling back the curtain on how an album comes together, through their social media channels and on their ‘It’s a Beautiful World’ podcast series.

anamē & Lydmor ‘Someone We Used To Love’ is out now on Anjunabeats. The duo join Above & Beyond at their Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge on July 21-23 and will feature at all three Anjunabeats Outdoors shows in New York City, Denver and Montréal this August, as well as our Anjunabeats London and Amsterdam shows later this year. Marsh closes 2023 with five reworks of some of the most sought-after tracks from his catalogue. 

Over the past year, UK-born and US-based progressive house sensation Marsh has achieved remarkable success with the release of his third artist album, 'Endless,' which has already garnered over 15 million streams since its February debut.

On this rework of ‘Heaven’, Tom blends in the syncopated vocal and synths of the original with the classic Reese bass, giving the track extra energy. The Dream Mix of ‘Free’ leans on the vastness of its strings and ambient vocals while still using Marsh’s signature grooves, ‘Pretty Eyes’ (Reflective Mix) maximises all its melodic elements, creating an addictive and euphoric groove and lastly, new ambient and percussive elements set-apart the Euphoria rework of ‘Love’ from its original.

Launching into the dance music scene in 2020 with their first releases, Kasablanca quickly made a name for themselves later that July with the release of their hit collaboration with Lane 8, 'Run'.
