Macedonian-born, Berlin-based deep and dubby choons expert merchant Stojche Cvetanovski has established his name as a leading figure for all things techno in the Balkan peninsula. Through some choice platters for the likes of A.r.t.less, Conform Records, Subwax and his own imprint, Tangible Assets, Stojche has progressively laid the foundation to a body of work both hypnotically immersive and funky above all. His RYC transmission doesn’t depart from such prerogatives and we’re chuffed to share not one but two hours of our friend Stojche’s pinpoint all-vinyl gospel. Embrace the flow.

This mix is a collection of my favourite artists that inspire me musically, and a showcase of the original roots of House music, stemming from Chicago and Detriot warehouses in the 80's. House music is Black music. My roots from Durban, South Africa and my musical influence from my father has led me to develop a keen ear for the US house music you will predominately hear in this mix.

This mix is a discovery of the soul, telling a story, starting with worldy dub floating into lush jazz and smooth grooves of deep house. As the mix progresses, flavours from my recent trip to Europe and my record store finds have snuck their way into this mix.

[Track 3 + 12] Rick Wade is a maestro of his craft - his music invokes a sense of belonging and peace for me; he has been able to translate how I feel in my soul into music. From the depths of deep house and pure house, his music brings the feelings of so much joy. The sounds of Detriot.

[Track 5] Delano Smith, one of the godfathers of Detroit in my eyes, has influenced my musical journey to the point his tracks are in nearly every mix I have ever made. Currently battling with cancer, his legacy will live on for generations to come.

[Track 6] Fred P - there isn't too much I can say about Fred - you can hear it in his music.... everyone wants to be as deep as Fred.

[Track 10] This Chez Damier record was originally released in 1993, and it was a huge mid 90's house jam that was played week in week out at the Sound Factory in New York.

[Track 13] This Javonntte track is one of my all time favourite records in my collection.

This is no better feeling than pulling out a vinyl record and knowing you travelled to the record store, spent hours digging, transported the record home and being about to drop the needle on a piece of wax that contains so much soul. Playing records is deeply embedded in house music culture; having a physical connection to the music is so important to me and allows me to feel something that can't be reproduced.

Lynne is a Japanese artist who explores the outer realms of techno, experimental, and drum 'n'bass. First emerging in 2013 as part of Tokyo's underground scene, Lynne established herself quickly, winning the Samurai Music Mix competition and playing regularly at respected Tokyo institutions. Over time her sound evolved from its DnB roots to include more textural, obscure and experimental layers as she became fascinated with building emotive atmospheres and twisting them to her rhythm. Now an Astral Industries and Unknown Species resident, Lynne resides between Tokyo and London. She is an artist who is most comfortable in the grey space between genres, where her rhythm is a gravitational force pulling dancers in all the right directions.

[Les Chaos Ambiants]

The Pauza association presents Les Chaos Ambiants, a festival dedicated to the encounter between electronic music, the visual arts and the rich heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté.

This event is designed on a small scale to make it as comfortable as possible to listen, meet and move around, with a single stage to promote emerging and established artists, a natural setting conducive to the discovery of musical works and artistic installations, and an eco-responsible approach to limit its environmental impact.

The project has several objectives : to promote the European and international artistic scene, to stimulate and strengthen the cultural and creative network across the département and the region ; to help promote and showcase the natural and cultural heritage of Burgundy-Franche-Comté ; to support local produce and the local economy.

Reaching our 100th edition feels special, and we couldn’t be more honored to celebrate it with Anthony Child. Many know him as Surgeon or as part of the British Murder Boys alongside Regis whose work has left a lasting mark on techno. Yet there’s another side to his work - one that steps away from the club and into more spacious terrain. You can hear it in his electronic recordings from the Maui project in 2015, in his collaborations with Daniel Bean as The Transcendence Orchestra, or through OLD Technology, the label they run together as a playground for questioning reality.

For Unrush, Anthony offers a mix that only he could create. A journey that wanders through krautrock, psychedelic twists, ambient spaces and moments of lighthearted play. It has the same curious energy that makes his monthly Noods mixes so inspiring, and yet it feels made to be taken in slowly, with time and openness.

We’re grateful to share this milestone with someone who has shaped so much of the music we love, and who reminds us that listening can be both grounding and transporting. Press play and enjoy it - on a walk, with friends, or in your own quiet time...
