Reaching our 100th edition feels special, and we couldn’t be more honored to celebrate it with Anthony Child. Many know him as Surgeon or as part of the British Murder Boys alongside Regis whose work has left a lasting mark on techno. Yet there’s another side to his work - one that steps away from the club and into more spacious terrain. You can hear it in his electronic recordings from the Maui project in 2015, in his collaborations with Daniel Bean as The Transcendence Orchestra, or through OLD Technology, the label they run together as a playground for questioning reality.

For Unrush, Anthony offers a mix that only he could create. A journey that wanders through krautrock, psychedelic twists, ambient spaces and moments of lighthearted play. It has the same curious energy that makes his monthly Noods mixes so inspiring, and yet it feels made to be taken in slowly, with time and openness.

We’re grateful to share this milestone with someone who has shaped so much of the music we love, and who reminds us that listening can be both grounding and transporting. Press play and enjoy it - on a walk, with friends, or in your own quiet time...

100 - Unrushed by Anthony Child

Madrid's F-on is a much beloved figure within the Spanish scene, known for his elegant all-vinyl sets and curation behind the brilliant Alpenglühen label among so much more. We stayed in touch after his particularly beautiful set at 2017’s Paral·lel Festival, and I've been looking forward to one day sharing this episode of the series since. Alfonso’s mix is uncanny in its precision and demonstrates a prowess behind the decks that few can match, a soft palette built through veteran and timeless selection. Two hours in and out of focus like rippling dust through which the flow of time slows, a stasis in the stream. Thanks Alfonso!

“This set was recorded live 5-7pm, Saturday evening at Pe:rsona, 2025. The seemingly last dry-ish stretch and set of wild (weather) weekend, sunshowers made way for glistening droplets to  sparkle through the shade sails and lay foundation for me to weave between deeper percussive cuts and shiny crystalline daytime techno.”

Pjenné is a Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ, radio broadcaster, curator and label manager. Her musical identity is shaped by the expansive, psychedelic soundscapes of the southern bush, an influence that permeates her trance-inducing, progressive, and hypnotic selections.

Pjenné’s sets are characterised by deep-digging selections and an impeccable narrative craft, both of which are on full display in this masterfully executed recording. Tune in now for two hours of deep, lush afternoon techno daydreams.

On the first night, as the crowd slowly began to gather, Resom, former long-time resident of Berlin’s renowned club ://about blank — quietly expanded the contours of the floor in response to the shifting energy.  

The murmurs gradually sharpened into a gentle tension, and her selections dissolved the boundaries of dance music, drawing the entire room into a deep, enveloping groove.

初日の夜の時間帯、徐々に集まりつつある人々の気配に応えるようにフロアの輪郭を広げていったのは、ベルリンの名門クラブ〈:// about blank〉で長年のレジデントDJを務めていたResomでした。

ざわめきは少しずつ緊張へと移り変わり、ダンスミュージックのあらゆる境界を失わせるような選曲が、フロア全体を深いグルーヴの渦へと導いていきます。

Resom at rural 2025

The closing set on the final day of rural 2025 was performed by Ginger Coven, a special unit comprised of three veteran techno DJs (Erika, Resom, and Mareena) who have been influential in techno music from its transitional period to the present.  Enjoy a six-hour groove journey of various styles of techno and music from its periphery, as they interact with the crowds gathered on the floor.
