From a lost location in western Poland, halfway between Berlin and Warsaw, Adam Majdecki-Janicki conjures in his music the most abstract guitars of krautrock with hints of noise folk. The result refers to a crossing between Flying Saucer Attack and Amon Düül II or to an UFO landing in the Middle Ages of forests and villages. All nicely for the lovers of the return to entheogenic dreams. Flutes, freeways at dawn, distortions and echoes are his arsenal. Science fiction transmuted into rural psychedelia, or in Adam's words, "pure life, pure art".

Experimental songs range feral beyond human constraints, with multiple influences including Dark/Ambient, Psych, Doom, Drone, Noise Metal, Krautrock, and Romantic Era, with special nods to the bands Swans, Earth, Caspar Brotzman Massaker and R Duck. Dystopian Inspirational for noble outlaws.

My name is Rosemary Bensko, and Sound Animal (SA) is my artist name that extends to the name of what has always been envisioned as a one-person band that includes various contributors on certain compositions. The opinions expressed by SA aren't meant to represent the beliefs of collaborators and vice versa. Sound Animal prioritizes the natural world over the world of digital control. 

Since March 2022, a fantastic musician named XAW has been integral to many of the works that are starting to come your way. 

Other collaborators in some Sound Animal pieces that I'm honored to present to you: Igor Iofe, Tom McCarthy of TM's Sundae Sauce, Steve Gilmartin, Psychedelic Mayhem, The Fall of Saigon, and remixes by The Infinite Wimshurst.

I began the project in June 2021, arranged, mixed, mastered and produced, plus created or designed the art, and made the video. Cover art is available in a calendar and many other products. I've been deeply involved in the visual arts community such as co-owning an art gallery, being a long-time judge for an international contest, being art director on two magazines, etc. I'm also an author with award winning books, such as a novel about neo-psych musicians, Floating on Secrets. 

I bring a dramatic visual storytelling sensibility to the music that makes it a potential for sync licensing -- see the personal production music library in the link below. Many of my SoundCloud playlists are for sharing other people's music, and others are for organizing my music that's suggested for sync licensing. Those playlists are gathered in the Composerly library, rather than a 3rd party library, as a way to maintain ethical control, to avoid the music being synced with projects that go against SA's convictions. The library can also be a resource for performance artists, animators, etc. who would like to collaborate visually.
