Incredibly beautiful!  I like the honest/authentic feel of the lyrics, guitar, voice.  I love these lyrics, especially the chorus.  Many years ago I was suicidal - this song didn't trigger anything for me.  But I was emotionally moved, in a good way.

beautiful song! lyrics are emotional yet the song doesn't drag you down because it's done really well. It draws you in and connects with you. love it. On a personal note - so sorry for your loss.

Of all the places I’ve traveled, I’ve never been to Mexico!!

I wrote this in 2018 with piano.  Many changes to this version: lyrics, chords, and I wrote a melody.  There are a number of rhythm problems, and perhaps one day the guitar will sound better, but overall a lot of improvements from the 2018 version.

Mexico

I lost one eye in Mexico
Traveling to avoid the winter snow
In the west, an amber crimson glow
From the sun in the sky down below

Back home, I covered my wound with care
A man looks up from his newspaper to stare

He offered wise words before my story had been heard
