This is a straight remake of a piece from the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood soundtrack by Akira Senju. I wanted to get a close to the original piece as possible using samples only. I remade this from scratch by ear so some notes may be wrong or slightly different - there also may be minor changes due to sample limitations. The string runs also sound awful. If anyone can recommend a decent string run library (other than OSR) or a technique with multisamples I'd appreciate it :)

The Youtube video shows FL Studio playing back the piece for anyone who's interested - the timing is a little off but it's too late to fix that and I want to be done with this piece.

Story
The Curse of the Rhinegold. The Nibelung Saga
Deep in the Rhine, guarded by water nymphs, lay a priceless treasure: the Rhinegold. The Nibelungs, dark dwarves and wise blacksmiths, stole it and forged it into a ring of absolute power. But the ring carried with it a curse: whoever possessed it would be devoured by greed and tragedy.
The young hero Siegfried, brave and cunning, defeated the dragon Fafnir and bathed in his blood, becoming invulnerable except for a small spot on his back. After defeating the princes Nibelung and Schilbung in a dispute over the treasure, Siegfried became its new owner. With the ring and the magic sword Balmung, he went to the court of King Gunther of Burgundy, in Worms.
Gunther wished to marry the powerful Queen Brunhilda, but could only do so if he defeated her in combat. Siegfried, in disguise, helped him achieve this. In return, Gunther offered him the hand of his sister Kriemhild, and both marriages were celebrated with pomp. But betrayal soon spread: Brunhild discovered the deception and demanded revenge.
The ambitious advisor Hagen, loyal to Gunther, murdered Siegfried while hunting, plunging a spear into his vulnerable spot. Kriemhild, devastated, swore revenge. Years later, she married Attila, king of the Huns, and convinced him to invite the Burgundians to his court. There, in a bloody ambush, the Huns massacred the guests. Kriemhild, in her fury, killed Hagen, but was executed by Attila...
