Deep in My Mind

It took me a while to get round to it, but here's an orchestration of The Traveler from Destiny. It stays faithful some of the way through but has improvisation at various bits. As with other stuff, mostly made to test things I am working on right now and to practice writing sweeping strings stuff (The strings are all Sable). All made from ear, listening to Martin O'Donnell's awesome soundtrack.

An original piece of music by Blake Robinson. This time it's an older piece brought up to date. This was composed for the Multivaders album for a sudden unveiling of a traitor amongst the 'good guys' - I used crazy violins and strings to try and make it dramatic sounding. This version has been remastered and extended from the album release. It has boosted strings, new melodies, a choir and more percussion. If you're interested in the full soundtrack, it's still up on iTunes/Amazon/etc (just search for Multivaders).

This is a free download to everyone so that anyone who has bought the album can get the updated version for free. Check out my other tracks as there's quite a few revamped/redone Multivaders tracks.

An original piece for the first time in a while. A fusion of orchestra, blips and wubs. It was mostly experimenting with various sounds to relax a little and practice with mixing in a non-orchestral setting.

Orchestral Blips

An original piece I wrote to demo a Sonokinetic library. This is the orchestral version with added orchestra parts. It extensively uses Sonokinetic's Project Infinity that I worked on and contains Erik Ekholm's awesome sound design.

This is a sci-fi style piece centred around the thoughts, dreams and hopes of a robotic being. That's kind of all I was going on when I started the piece and it progressed from there. It's a bit of a radical departure from my usual sound but hopefully it fits the theme.

I've been tinkering with music since I was a kid, composing tunes for fun. Nowadays, I mainly write orchestral scores for video games. Alongside this, with an extensive career in the games industry as a tools programmer I've now focused my skills on developing next-generation sample libraries and music software.
