Legend of Korra - Prologue Orchestral Remix

This is the result of a YouTube live stream where I just played about for a couple of hours orchestrating music from the upcoming Yooka-Laylee. 

I gave it the same treatment as I did for Banjo-Kazooie-Symphony. Bits improvised here and there but it stays quite faithful. It was recreated from ear so excuse any bad notes or improvisations!

Here is a fan made piece I composed in Logic Pro X using my new sample libraries, for the fictional Super Mario Galaxy 3. The game hasn't been announced but there are a number of speculations surrounding it. This track is for the Star Festival which occurs at the beginning. 

I decided to give the track a classic Mario Galaxy vibe by including rhythmic string patterns etc and this is how it turned out.

Here is Magicant, from EarthBound Beginnings/Mother. I thought it would be appropriate to upload a song from Mother on Mother's Day.
I've been having a lot of fun playing around with samples and soundfonts from the EarthBound series. I figured it might be cool to incorporate some samples into this song, almost like little memories of the many adventures throughout the Mother games.
I'm sure that keen fans of the series will recognize the samples and instruments I've used.

Deep in Thought (EarthBound Beginnings - "Magicant" Cover)

SO LONG GAY BOWSER! I’m back with a new VGM cover. This one is essentially a re-record of a cover I did a year ago which you can listen to here: https://soundcloud.com/6metal6legend6/super-mario-64-bowser-theme-metal-cover. I decided to re-record this as listening back in retrospect I personally feel I could have done a better job with the recording/mixing/mastering, now that I am more accustomed to the process then I was when I originally made this cover. Plus it’s one of my favourite songs from the game. \m/ Pure Metal  \m/

I made several changes to how the instruments were played. The biggest change were the drums, changing some of the fills and patterns, plus changing the VST used for the sound. Instead of playing the second melody you hear on the 00:41 mark on guitar, I re-arranged it on keyboard so there is more variety of sound and instruments used. Changes were also made to the rhythm guitars, incorporating more palm muting to add henchness to the cover. With the lead guitars I basically redid the solos from scratch. The bass part is pretty much the same as in the original cover with some alterations in the rhythm in some measures. And with the harmony guitars, the only changes I made to them were omitting the bends as I feel it didn’t work well originally. 

I think as a whole I have improved the cover tremendously. Adding those changes have improved the structure of the song. It keeps it engaging and active, whereas the original cover seemed to me rather flat and monotone. And the tones from the amps sound much better in comparison now that I have a designated preset I use for the amp tones.
