out the shape of the old brickwork above the shadow of the trees. It had been there for thousands of years, untouched and mysterious in the midst of the thick, dense jungle. It was said that inside there were precious jewels and treasures from a bygone era and that was what they were here to find out.

The ‘Turtle’, as it was known by the locals’ had never been explored before for it was said to be cursed with ancient spells and dark magic which might make it treacherous for an untrained adventurer. Yet now, here they were, wandering towards the magnificent old structure with the intent of raiding all it laid claim to. It was time to enter the turtle..


 
Fio Faa is set to kickstart a new record label, Sunset Drifters. The first release on the newly launched imprint comes from himself and features four fast paced tracks which sit somewhere between the domain of house, nu trance and techno. This track in particular remained us of those old race car video games from the 90’s, the type where a fast car careered through the snow capped mountain side in glorious pixelated chaos.

We are back with a three track EP filled with edits only for the dancefloor, to make you move. Heavy Breakbeat, dumb acid lines as usual, and heavy drums to move people towards the floor.

Donnette Robbins - We're Close To Heaven (Floorfillers Acid Edit)

Demi Riquísimo and his Semi Delicious imprint return for their 15th edition with another versatile, club ready collection of cuts from old & new members of the label family set for a release on the 7th July.

The EP features contributions from regulars Lulah Francs, Jive Talk & label owner Demi alongside debuts from NairLess, Last Magpie, Corbi and Michelle Manetti. 

The A-side kicks off with ‘All I Need’, a collaborative track from Demi & Michelle Manetti. A bouncing, progressive house number with some old school Italian flavour that sets the tone nicely for the EP. Corbi’s ‘Kraken’ is up next providing some driving, analog acid squelch to SEMID015. ‘Don't Make Me Wait’ by Lulah Francs & Nebari wraps up the Ice Cream side. Proto house style drum programming and bass are juxtaposed nicely to the psychedelic synth work and impeccable vocals from Lulah creating a unique and versatile track to close out the A-side. 
The B-side opens with NairLess’ ‘Swell’, a tripped out slice of balearic trance. The EP takes a slightly more heads down turn on ‘Release It’ by Last Magpie. A menacing track driven by a sharp synth line that you’re sure to hear over festival season. Jive Talk’s ‘Wizard’s Slippers’ wraps up the EP in their imitable style. Off kilter drums, unique bass and minimalism with the perfect amount of elements to pique the listener’s interest bringing SEMID015 to a close in style.

Mid October will see Yann Polewka offer up the ‘Promised Love’ EP, backed by remixes from St. David and Garrett David and coming via the UK imprint Fresh Take Records.

Yann Polewka is a French producer and DJ and on half of the duo EARL alongside Evenn, across the past decade he’s unveiled numerous EP’s for the likes of Raw Soul, La Fête, Cardiology and more as well as maintain a steady presence on the DJ circuit of his home turf. Here, we Yann joining the roster of Fresh Take Records coming out of the Edinburgh, Scotland and home to material from artists such as Berzingue, Easy Peelers, Denyl Brook and Brooklyn Baby among others.
