WHOA!!! We are inches away from closing up phase three! This week's focus is heavy on Cato’s relationship with his brother. If you have an older sibling, you already know how it goes. They annoy you, they beat you in everything, but overall we aspire to be like them. My brother was the coolest when we were growing up. Riding in his cars, going to the rec center to hoop, heck even hitting the mall to holler at girls. He had the best style, the best charm, and knew everything! 
At some point, I felt wronged by him, I saw how some of his choices were opposite of what I “thought” I would have done, and I slowly removed him from the pedestal that I had placed him on. 
Dave was/is super important to me. Some of my favorite youth memories involved this guy. After going through my issues during young adulthood, I slowly understood Dave more. It really wasn’t until about 2 to 3 years ago that it truly clicked. My brother is human; flesh and blood like me. He made mistakes, like me. And, just like me, he is working to become a better version of himself. Within the last year I have made it a habit( thought slightly slacking lately due to the demands of the project) to contact him on a weekly basis. I shared a favorite book of mine with him, and he gleaned wisdom from it... just like me. 
My brother is lowkey a hero, and if you are reading this Dave, I f*cking love you man. I hope that if you ever felt any ill-will from me, that you witness this song as an apology and forgive me. We are faulty men trying to grow in a world that sometimes makes us feel that evolving is impossible. Stay up, and stay true. "No days off, presently learning from the past...and tomorrow it will pay off!"

Welcome to Side B of #32weeksMixtape! We are  making our way through part 4 of  4. This phase's topics/feelings/concepts involve: 💝Love/Acceptance/Ownership/Independence💝

I know the shock value of that first "f*ck you" is incredible! Usually when I write songs for/about other people, it is uplifting. Well, this time around I have a story to tell. So during the writing portion and possibly into the recording portion of #32weeksMixtape , I was going through it. I'm talking, work was crazy, my mental was out of whack...and I felt like I couldn't find any peace. As you know by now, I was diligent with reaching out to my close circle of friends(this was before the process of regularly reaching out to my family...which, come to think of it is apart of the reason why I began doing that). As luck would have it, this particular period of time, no one was picking up their phone...NO ONE! Can't lie y'all, I was heated. Literally an entire week had went by and though I called, no one answered, not a callback, not a text back...nothing. I think P did answer, but he had to hop off within 30 secs..one of those "Hey Cuzzo, I'mma hit you right back..." lol but he didn't.( ~LLP💙💙💙). Finally, one friend did answer and I was relieved. *Shout to the homie Will" But in order for me to move on, and let go of the anger, I had to be honest with my guys and write what I felt. Put it on paper, put it on wax and put it up on here for you to relate with it as well. To be clear, I understand how life works, so it's all good, I shared the track with my homies beforehand...they know what it is. Hell, lowkey, it's kind of funny. 

To Domo, P, Tyson: I love you all. I appreciate each moment you pick up the phone, each time you respond to a text, and each time you tap/check in on me! You never know how bad I need hear your voices.
