After being introduced to progressive house almost eight years ago, electronic music quickly became an essential part in the life of OSD. It was only once the pandemic fully hit that the Netherlands-born Moroccan DJ dedicated himself to mastering mixing on vinyl. Only recently he started using digital decks to allow for extremely layered sets, in which three-deck mixing is used. This time he fired up his CDJs to bring you his signature sound: a dark and hypnotic but always groovy set along the 141-144 BPM spectrum. Enjoy the ride.

Witch Trials will release his anticipated new EP CANNIBAL CULTURE on 18 September in the form of our second vinyl release. The upcoming EP spans genres and journeys between contemporary dance, electronic, house, and breakbeat - showcasing the progression and expansion of a standout artist continuing to evolve and reinvent his craft.

The new EP from Witch Trials delivers a time-travelling thrust of rave culture, melodic riffs and atmospheric beats that would work the dancefloor as hard as a solitary listener at home – experiencing the tracks in confinement.

London-based, American-born, and Irish-raised artist Witch Trials releases the visual for his new EP CANNIBAL CULTURE. Confusing the lines that bound or bind art and music, the visual captures the fusion of trauma, light after dark, and a chthonic realm of solitude. The photographic concept and the sound world push distinct interpretations of the mediums and work alone or in harmony.

The EP is executive produced by Witch Trials.

About Witch Trials

London-based, American-born, and Irish-raised artist Omar O’Reilly goes under the alias Witch Trials and is a cult name many are familiar with, featuring on Dublin clubs show and Irish festival lineups over the years, while being one of the most sought-after Irish club photographers.

As a Producer, Musician, DJ, and record label owner, he has a DIY approach to materialising his work and continues to weave his heritage into creative practice irrespective of the medium or final form. Tras haber coqueteado con sonidos melódicos y ritmos más ligeros en su paso por Andalucía, su enfoque actual se dirige hacia un techno dinámico, divertido y groovy, con preferencia por los toques atmosféricos y melódicos, siendo muestra de ello este set con el que nos deleita.

Es parte del colectivo local Hölleclub y como productor le hemos visto estrenando música en Groove Estate, Hölle, U-Traxx y en noviembre sacará tema a través de Ri7mo.

In today's chapter we have the Extremaduran Ruiso, who lives in Madrid since the beginning of 2022. 

After flirting with melodic sounds and lighter rhythms in his time in Andalusia, his current approach is directed towards a dynamic, fun and groovy techno, with a preference for atmospheric and melodic touches, as evidenced by this set with which he delights us.
