This is in tribute to a friend whom I spoke to the day I started this track. This incredibly young man had a short time here, but he began making his mark on the 15th. However, his life also sadly ended on the 15th, leaving that huge mark he made. This is my interpretation of the years of a life that significantly changed directions yet still stayed so beautiful. At 1.5 min, representing the 15th, there is a change representing a change in his life. Still with the beautiful strings showing the presence of his beautiful soul, and at 3.0, well, 15th met 15th and the track ends. RIP Harry Hewish

With deep rollers and vibes en masse, Felix Raymon delivers what D&B lovers need. After first releasing on Austrian label “Moshbit Records” and Dutch label “High Tea Music”, Felix first arrived at Addictive Behaviour in January 2018 where he released the Hydro EP together with his brother in crime Smuskind. 

Following up now with a solo second EP with support from Italian trio Invadhertz, this release further cements the German producer’s place with Addictive Behaviour and the UK market, #f*ckBrexit. The three tracks on offer here display Felix’s diverse production talents. and vibrant creativity.

‘Dorado’ sets an uplifting scene, with shimmering pads followed by rolling bass lines and stacked drum hits. Whilst ‘Bad Trip’ pulls you into a very different journey. A bass fuelled rhythm pulsating like palpitations, full of switch ups like a muddled mind on ‘LSD’. To finish, ‘Lucifer’ a collab with Invadhertz that delivers deadly bass growls, a shattering snare beat and demonic samples throughout. 

Felix Raymon is pushing the music making boundaries with this latest release. A new name still to some but not for long . . .

Built for the dance-floor and full of solid breaks, deep bass and intricate drum-work, Taelimb takes us on a journey through his sonic landscape. Delivering 5 tracks that range from the hard stepping "Kat Scam" and "Ruff Stuff" to the energy driven "Acid Train" and "Sticky" featuring long time friend Conscience. 

Title track "The Junglist" strips things right back, taking us on a return to those original settings. It's weighty sub and rolling drums fuse with infectious percussion to create a record you simply can't help but skank out to.

Forbidden Society has embodied what it takes to be an independent artist in the digital world. A label owner, head of a clothing line and a DJ, he’s proved himself to be a multi-faceted part of the drum & bass community, something which has carried through into his music. As well as being part of the hard-lined trio 3RDKND, his solo work has also gained him recognition. However, since his ‘Deadbox’ EP his music has taken a different route, featuring a more stripped back sound with minimalist roots, a change in direction which has been heralded by tastemakers. And this is something which is set to continue with a brand-new album, set to drop on his self-titled Forbidden Society imprint. 
‘Liminal Point’ makes a return to the sounds which the Czech producer first started to explore throughout his ‘Deadbox’ EP. From the ruminating, rolling drum strokes of ‘Bottom Check’, the percussion heavy sounds of ‘Pin’, to the half time breakdowns of ‘No Boundaries’ and the winding rhythms of ‘Sold out Ego’, you’re taken deep into Forbidden Society’s murky world. ‘Dreamcatcher’ continues the track list, building an ethereal soundscape with ghost-like samples, whilst ‘Swamp Rave’ is more reminiscent of the producer’s cross breed roots. Title-track ‘Liminal Point’ focuses on a more melodic, rising synthesis meanwhile tracks ‘Explorer’ and ‘Death Born’ take you through different subsections of the drum & bass genre. Once again, ‘Always Imperfect’ makes a return to the half-time vibes although this time with a disjointed twist, followed by a more liquid themed offering in the form of ‘Ocean of Thoughts’. ‘Peaks’ with its bass heavy distortion and the 140 edit of ‘Don’t Stop’ alongside Killa P then draws the LP to a close. It proves the album is one of Forbidden Society’s most versatile deliveries to date, further highlighting his artistic self-discovery.
Forbidden Society continues his quest and does so successfully, while remaining independent.
