Tanzkombinat Talent Mix #043 by Mia Mangata

Der Umzug von Frankfurt am Main nach Berlin legte 2016 den musikalischen Grundstein für das Soloprojekt Mia Mangata. Fast drei Jahre später – nach Inspiration durch Berlins Kulturkosmos mit seinen unzähligen Clubs – spielte Mia ihre ersten Gigs im Nachtleben der Hauptstadt. Kurz darauf folgten die ersten Features von „Jeden Tag ein Set“.
Anschluss in der Szene und eine Crew fand die Wahlberlinerin schnell. Seit 2020 ist sie Mitglied und Resident-DJ beim Veranstaltungskollektiv LTMD (Less Talking More Dancing). Ihr Steckenpferd: Eine Mischung aus Progressive House, Indie Dance, Melodic Techno und Techno, wobei der treibende Charakter in ihren Sets nie zu kurz kommt. Mia Mangatas energetischer Sound findet sich auch in ihrem ersten Melodic Techno Release „Irregular“ wieder, das sie im Januar gemeinsam mit Floordrobe veröffentlicht hat.

Duck Side of the Moon • Sisyphos Hammahalle Closing • SU 21/11/22

Resident @ Silodom (Saarbruecken), Hasenbau (Cologne), Germany. 

Having started off as a drummer rooted in ska and punk music, beats have had a huge impact on my life since the early age of 14. After gaining some experience in "rear" stage performance, becoming a "front man" was the next logical step.
Discovering the many facettes of urban club culture unveiled a new possibility to share my fervor for music. I had been on the fence of house music styles and ended up on a deep/techhouse level.
After honing the techniques of a good warm up DJ for the urban elite, I was honored to play a couple of shows as a headliner myself. I was appointed resident DJ for SILODOM, a renowned local venue, along great young talents , in 2014. In 2015, I was also Resident DJ for Blau Niteclub and Le Hirsch, also in Saarbrücken. 
Now based in Cologne I joined Hasenbau and other collectives. Since May 2019 I have released tracks on EISENWAREN records (D), Sieben Sonnen (K) and others. 
Still improving my skills and constantly consolidating my musical grasp, I am eager to take my passion to the next level. Currently I am working on a couple of tracks and remixey and I am looking forward to join Petrified Phoenix booking agency.
