BlaqueStone is a married American creative powerhouse duo. They are a mix of neo-soul + hip hop + nujazz fusion.  The couple consists of rapper, singer, songwriter, talkbox enthusiast, and producer Nyne. The other half is the singer/ rapper/songwriter is Queen.

IsWhatItIs (ISWHVTITIS) is a multifaceted artist, producer, and creative visionary born in Washington, D.C. A self-taught musician, he began developing his musical abilities by ear at age 18, though his relationship with music began much earlier. Starting on piano and vocals as young as seven, he gradually absorbed the fundamentals of music theory throughout childhood and adulthood. His creative roots also extend into art, illustration, poetry, and spirituality.

Rapper-singer-songwriter Dayon Greene is ready to make a name for himself. 

In the year following his first release, the funk-fueled EP All For You?, the artist formerly known as The Experience has been steadily building a reputation as a crowd-pleasing showman with a positive and inclusive message. The project put his irresistibly bouncy sound on full display, with songs that seamlessly blended together elements of hip-hop, funk and R&B into one uniquely DMV package. Every one of his shows is a “definitively D.C. musical experience,” according to The Washington Post; and with his infectious personality and undeniable talent, he’s poised to put his stamp on the music industry in a way that no other DMV artist has done before. 

Growing up between DC and PG County, Greene found his love for performing early on while singing in the choir at his grandmother’s church on Sundays. Fast forward a few years and a young Dayon could often be found at his father’s side while he gigged in go-gos around the city. This early introduction to live music inspired him to take up the drums from a young age, and he’s been on the path to stardom ever since.

Greene’s go-go and gospel roots taught him just as much about the importance of community as it did about rhythm patterns; and he’s carried these lessons with him to this day. It’s no secret that the DMV is full of innovation, but it’s also no secret that there’s been a strong feeling of every-artist-for-themselves amongst the city’s creatives for some time now. There’s no room for this kind of toxicity in Greene’s circle, and that’s why he’s taken it upon himself to change the culture of Chocolate City’s self-absorbed music scene. He knows that the only way to build is to build together, and that’s why Dayon’s so committed to fostering collaborative relationships between all the musicians in our Nation’s Capital.

To achieve your goals, you have to be willing to sacrifice. The Rico Nasty’s and YBN Cordae’s of the world have proven that you can make it to the top even if you’re from the DMV, you just have to be willing to put in the effort. A lot of people out there have a hard time grasping this concept; but if there’s one thing that’s for certain, it’s that Dayon Greene has never been afraid to do the work.
