A nostalgic late 90's/early noughties raver,  love underground 90’s Hard Trance, Techno, Trance, Deep House, Dark Wave and slammin' Hard House.

Still reminisce fondly about Provocation (run by Frantic/Convergence) -  Office Bar, London, 6am Sunday start! Nothing better than Spencer Freeland and Phil Reynolds B2B, surrounded by the most crazy and broad minded crowd in the world!

I started off with a controller after a weekend where I'd heard Acid Ska for the first time, I got this want to show the world this and Acid Techno that I had fallen in love with in London. 

I had played at a free party and a shebeen but had been watching people spin vinyl for years and I loved it I then set out to get turntables and vinyl. 

I got a set of old kam direct drives around eight years ago and played vinyl in Belfast and Dublin getting to share my favourite tunes over the floor through swanky fat rigs.

Our old collective now disbanded (BTribal) put on a few nights in 2016 and smashed 2017 with all sorts of Acid, Tekno and Techno alongside DnB, Jungle and much more, especially at our biggest event UMAD which was a festival that hosted over 125 People over two days in the beautiful hills of outback Ireland. We had our own radio station over @ www.BTribal.Eu we hosted shows on it having had Biri, Nesbit, Tiddles, Jula, Acid Steve, Nigel Keane, Tik Tok, Paul the hat, Sted Helvis, Phil Devious and so many many more! It also acted as a hub for the underground scene, promoting parties with a chat section for the radio.

After a 5 year break I've gotten turntables now in 2023 and I'm ready to blast out the Acid!

John Manning and Ciaran Duffy (RIP) joined forces in late 2008 having been DJs in their own right for over ten years, playing in clubs and radio shows across Northern Ireland. They met by chance in 2007 while they were both in Brisbane, Australia. After talking they discovered they shared a passion for house music and realising they only lived a few miles apart back home in Ireland they made an agreement, that they would keep in contact and start a project when back on home turf and it was then that “Brisboys” was born.
After taking a break from "Brisboys" for 4 years and concentrating on "Bemannte & Bruder" John has decided to continue what him and Ciaran started.

Brisboys’ productions have been supported by Pete Tong, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Maceo Plex, Dubfire, Paco Osuno, Stacey Pullen, Dave Piccioni, Slam, Davide Squillace, Miss Nine, Jesse Voorn, Eric Entrena, Threesixty, Felix Baumgartner, Loko, Macromism, Tom Novy and Betoko and many more.
Brisboys have shared the stage with Jay Lumen, Fake Blood, Alex Cellar, Clive Henry, Simian Moblie Disco, Alex Arnout and many more.

DJing in his hometown of Belfast for close to 30 years, Blark AKA Blacky.  Seeing Carl Cox play at the legendary Vengeance raves in 1990s was where he first got bitten by the rave bug and hasn't looked back since. Some people say he’s actually been to more raves than Carl Cox has ;)

Alongside friend and fellow Cricky, they both started up the Cave nights in Belfast, bringing over acts like Pet Duo, Patrick DSP, Marco Bailey, Dan Ghenacia, Mark EG, James Ruskin to the city. It was through this the two started releasing music as Cave DJz, racking up almost 15 tracks to date. 

In more recent times, Blark has warmed up for some of the biggest names in techno and house played at festivals like Burning Man, Jika Jika, Life Festival, ifyouknow and AVA in Belfast. He’s also played in clubs all over Europe, including a lengthy stay in Ibiza, Griessmuehle in Berlin and Corsica Studios in London.

I’m a 100% music addict, any spare time I’m listening to Anything dance orientated but not psy. Trance and hardstyle are my favourites though especially the classic stuff.
